Star Fortress armor ?

Has anyone on the forum ordered or know anything about Star Fortess armor sets?

I am interested in adding a pair of Clone Wars era forearm armor to my Jedi costume....

I am I looking for any input at all...product quality, easy of products to finish, or info about the company.

I found this site also, not too long ago and was wondering the same. It looks like some nice products that aren't too expensive.

That is what I was thinking, too. The forearm pieces, which is all I really want,  are very affordable. I have just never had to finish armor like that before.  I am also wondering about the company....any good experiences or bad ones that forum members might have had.

Star fortress has a really bad reputation about his past illegal activities concerning children. While it is hard enough confirm some of this in the internet age, information is pretty apparent on the rebel legion forums as well as the rpf concerning the quality and timeliness of their work. Also some allegations of recasting work from other people.

If you google star fortress productions you will very quickly find some terrible, terrible things.

If you want to get clone forarms, the best place to go is clonetroopers.net or imperial surplus (both are Kw designs). They do good work, and have great molds. you'll have to finish them yourself, but there are tutorials that will get you where you need to go.

Or you could mold it yourself using worbla and some plaster or bondo to do it yourself.

I just did as you suggested and googled Star Fortress, (don't know why I didn't do that in the first place). All I can say is.....well, I do not know what to say. Bad products is one thing but if what is said about this guy is true....I fell like I should apologize for even mentioning the company.

I will steer clear of Star Fortress. The cheesy website alone made me wonder about the company. Glad I asked.

I feel like I should go to church after what I just read.

No worries. He does offer what a lot of people would want as in easy cheap items. It's very tempting. If you want some pointers on DIY or anything like that, drop me a pm. I did this last year for my jedi general.

I wished that I knew this a few weeks ago I found the site all I ordered was a belt pouch but still I wish I knew.

I followed some of the bread crumbs of a Google search and found a thread on another forum asking the same question. One forum member suggested that the thread be lock because "....every knows about Star Fortress". The moderator rebutted that new people come to the forum every day and my not know. That thread was a few years old. I guess it is still good to talk about that company because new people come to forums every day and may not have heard the stories.

Sorry you did not get this info earlier.  I hope everything work out for you. I would be interested to hear how your experience goes. Who knows, maybe it will work out well......sometimes people change.

I ordered the belt pouch about 1 week ago I know that it will take a bit of time as I'm in the UK but I haven't received an email confirming any order yet so we will see  I will keep you posted though.

As for belt pouches, a great way to go is to search ebay for leather ammunition  pouches and then dye them yourself.

I already have 1 of those as well this was just an extra. I just don't want the hassle of having to complain to PAYPAL

Hopefully things will work out. Worst case scenario, you are out the cost of a pouch. I have lost a great deal more money in a bad online purchase years ago. I almost drove down south to confront the guy before my father talked sense into me.

At least you only paid for a pouch and did not drop 3 grand on one of his droids. Which that is something that struck me as odd about his set up. He sells a lot of different stuff. He has armor, soft goods, leather goods, droids and even light sabers. I can think of at least one place I would buy a saber from before ordering one from him  . There is almost too much going on on that site to be real.

Well it actually arrived its kind of what I ordered accept its isn't black and I don't think its leather either
The one on the right is my WW2 ammo pouch it is genuine leather the starfortress is on the left

Its not bad but not great and I'm not sure if I can use it with it being a different colour. Here is some more pics
