If you are just going to paint them I would suggest the White Strong and Flexible Polished. It has a smooth surface as opposed to its unpolished counterpart. I have used spray paint to paint this material and other paints should work fine as well.

I can't seem to find the button covers. I'd like a red one for my SRD Dominix V2 saber to give some character.

Did have a quick question on these, when you put them on the guarded switch, do the switch still work or is it like a cover thing if you just want to leave your saber off?

The switch still functions with this cover. You would have to glue it in place or use some other method for it to stay on the switch as it does not snap onto it.

Sedsti can correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like these covers go over the entire guarded switch. If you put a little dab of glue on the outside of the switch guard ring, (the black part), it should not interfere with the switch at all. You could use something non-permanent like rubber cement until you decide if you really like it on the saber or not.

It is actually designed to go onto the switch itself so that it depresses into the guard ring just like the switch would by itself so that there is no loss of function. It's up to you what you use to stick it on there, whether it is permanent or not it should work fine.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

Announcing Custom Prop/Accessory Commissions Having that special piece of your costume can make all the difference, and what better than to have something original and made just for you. Maybe you have an idea of something you have been looking for but can't seem to find, or you have an idea for something unique. This is your chance to have it modeled and 3D-printed just for you.I will begin taking requests for props and accessories via PM or email at [email protected]. There are some guidelines I would like to set forth, however for this process:- Nothing much larger than the models I carry now. I have a certain bounding box I can work in before the price skyrockets. Keep in mind the bigger the model, the more material it takes and the more expensive it will be. Don't worry about being overwhelmed with the different materials; I will help you with that.
- I will determine if the model is something I can feasibly create in a reasonable amount of time and have the right to turn down any request. There are certain limitations with things I can achieve with 3D-printing, but there are also some awesome things that can be achieved.
- Sending sketches or pictures of you design will give me a better understanding of what you are looking for. If there are any specific measurements you need to have for the model or pieces of the model, please include those in your message.
- Cannot contain anything profane or inappropriate. I would like to share these models with the public to show off my work.
- I will own full rights to the model I create, however you can request the model only be sold to you and those you share it with for an extra fee. The fee will depend on the price of the item.
- These are custom items and, therefore, there will be a premium charged for them depending on the amount of time it takes me to complete them. I will not rip you off or be unfair in pricing these. Most of the cost comes from materials and processing to make the item.
Modeling is something I find great joy in doing, and I intend for this to be a fun process to help people see there ideas come to life and make their costumes more unique and special. My goal is always to make the customer happy, and I will do my best to make sure you are satisfied with the product you receive. This will include sending you renders of the models before you purchase them so that you are sure you will be satisfied.
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you come up with. As always, feel free to ask questions if you have them.

A full size Death Star with no spots for lucky torpedoes. That was a major flaw the last time. Maybe 20 or so Star Destroyers around the new Death Star for extra protection. Lol. Sorry. I can't really think of anything in that line but maybe some pouches finally possibly maybe?

I can't really think of anything in that line but maybe some pouches finally possibly maybe? Haha, that was a good one. Pouches aren't easy for 3D-printed models. I have looked into and I found some small purses that close which were a very intricate mesh design that would take too much time to make. The ones I found were selling for $200 on Shapeways, probably because of the time that went into making them, so I don't see that as a viable alternative to the pouches that are already out there. I appreciate the suggestion though. I want to add to the above that I can also customize any of my models as well for a fee. Again all fees depend on the model in question, so you would need to contact me for further information via PM or email.
