Boot Question

So I found these awesome boots on Boot Barn I might pick up giving on anyone's thoughts on the color. Only problem is they come in black. Would they suit my brown and white Jedi costume set good? The one I used for Comic Con? I'm not really going for a group still, just costuming for me and for fun so. Plus I like to be different. They are an exact 17 inches tall and has 2 straps on which is exactly what I was looking for anyway. So thoughts for black boots on a brown and white Jedi costume set? I liked them because of the rubber sole and that'll be much better for my feet and back.

How thick is the sole, and what does the tread look like?

Black leather can look great with a brown costume. Sometimes brown boots with a brown costume is just too much brown. The pants and boots can kind of blend together if the shades are too close.

Black boots can make a nice contrast to a brown costume.

I think they would work (I've looked at similar boots in the past). I agree with chicago.jedi, sometimes the browns in peoples costumes start to run together. So adding a little bit of black should help spice things up.

But what does a Sith really know about Jedi fashion anyway.

@Vermentis. I know right. Not to be a pointer but look at Luke in ROTJ, he had some black pieces in the beginning, mostly black but with a brown robe, probably Obi-wan's robe he found somehow.

Luke would have had to have found Obi-Wan's robe in the Death Star wreckage.  I highly doubt it survived the blast.  He probably just mugged a suspicious character and took his robe.  Have you ever noticed people trying to be inconspicuous always wear brown robes, thus making themselves suspicious?

Those are some really nice looking boots.  I would like a set like that, but the price tag tells me no.

None the less, those are excellent boots.

I have two pairs of those boots, but they are the shorter ones (11 inches). I wear them as casual boots and they are very comfortable and well made. The price may be more than desired, but they will last a long time, that is for sure. They are made of good, real, leather and even after they get scuffed and worn, they will only look better with age.

Those boots will serve you well, Zren.

Nice. How high does the 11 inch actually go up the leg? Basically like a Harley Davidson boot or something? My bro has a pair and I think his were 11 inch but I can't remember.
