Manticore CE Nickel Plated with Sound in 6 Colors (video and pics)

Hello all!

I wanted to let you know just how amazing the new(ish) Manticore CE is. I purchased it as my Summer Raffle entry saber and received it about a week after ordering.

This is a GORGEOUS saber. Obviously the stand out feature is the emitter on this saber, but the rest does not leave you wanting. The body is streamlined with grooved details and a choke point near the emitter. There is a small bulge to mirror the rise of the choke, followed by a taper to the end of the hilt, which is finished flushed if you have the low-profile pommel or another bold statement if you have the high-profile pommel as I do. I went with a non-illuminated AV switch to keep with the streamlined look of the body and also had a covertec wheel installed near the base. I ordered it in BR with SY FoC (which does have a hint a green at times when it flashes).

There are many firsts for me in this saber. My first nickel plated saber, first non-illuminated AV switch, and first recharge port. All of these additions fit this saber beautifully and don't regret any of the choices I made.

With the single finish over the whole saber, I think it looks great in any color. Because of this, I gathered all the LEDs I own and decided to showcase the saber in each of them. I used one of my 3D-printed blade plugs from my shop (link in my sig), Blade Plug 15. Here are the color pics:

Excellent review sedstiskyfaller, the Manticore is a fan favorite, and I especially liked that you demonstrated several of the different color options available.  Definitely a big help to perspective first time buyers.

I love the Manticore. I was going to get my staff in nickel but I ended up deciding on the Silver.. starting to think I should have gone with nickel

You don't often see someone take the time to show multiple colors on one hilt, thanks sedstiskyfaller as it looks stellar in all colors.  Great up close view, I think the NP makes this the nicest one available in the US line.  I'm hoping to get one soon-ish!  The non-ill switch is a classy touch on this one too.  Point.

Excellent review!  I keep coming to the conclusion that I simply need to free up several thousand dollars so I can just purchase the hilts I really want:  ALL OF THEM!  :-)

Very nice. This makes me want a Manticore even more. Either version would be nice to have. I personally like Blazing Red in an Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade for the reason you said. Looks nice an more sinister I think. =]

Mines in consular green pulse to silver with EG flash on clash. Sweet showpiece, but I fret marring up the nickel plating. The finish is also too

slick to do my spins reliably. Love it for shock and awe though. Super sweet review! The hilt is also lighter than it looks.  Point!

Emerald would be a great feature on this hilt because of its versatility with colors. Maybe down the line I'll get it upgraded, but we'll see. I love this one so much I want a regular Manticore now. That one could be my Sith version and this one my Jedi version, because I can't get over GB on this hilt. I may be biased toward that color however

The regular Manticore with the black is nice. Do you think the CE needs that off-seting black too, or do you like the singular finish? I'd offer to

duel you with mine, but that much awesomeness clashing together could tear the world asunder.

It might actually be an apocalyptic event for those two to clash 

I like the full nickel finish on the CE for sure. I just want the original model to compliment it is all. I planned on getting the original as a Sith saber long before the CE came out, but it won me over with the beautiful finish.
