Same reason we don't publish forum-member-only coupon codes on the front page? Membership has it's privileges.
True, very true. That makes a lot of sense. However, I have a suggestion: When someone joins the Forums, and gets sent the conformation e-mail, maybe you could add a section listing some benefits of being a member. That way, you'd know some extras you get when you join without having to search for them...unless that's the idea. In that case, forget what I said.
