So this weekend I had the pleasure of hosting my groomsmen and my fiancee's bridemaids at our apartment, and as usual with me... lightsabers were drawn. Just wanted to share a few of the great pics my friend took! Artorius and I  Another of MAV  The Groomsmen (or as I call them, my Kingsguard)  The Bridesmaids  The photographer, with MAV's lightsaber  Finally, the whole group!  As you can imagine, this turned out to be a whole ton of fun. If I get any more neat pics, I'll be sure to post them here! |

I hope to get with a Star Wars/saber loving girl one of these days. Will be awesome. Is that a Graflex the cameraman has? Actually a camera lady, she's holding MAV's Dark Prophecy (the twin to my own green one). |

Nice pics of the guys and the whole gang. I like the two Prophecy's being brothers of each other. I could go for a twin to my Archon Did your fiancé miss out on the whole shin dig? |

Looks like y'all had a fun time! I like the twin Prophecy's. That is a saber I've warmed up to more and more after seeing it so much. I'll get one eventually.

Actually her conversion was a slow and patient one, all you have to do is be yourself and little by little you'll wear down her defenses. Mine is currently obsessed with Mandalorians, so we're looking to get her a Sabine cosplay from the new Star Wars Rebels! |

The above is true, as far as converting good ladies to nerdiness, in my experience, haha. It takes time and patience, much like turning someone to the dark side of the force. Me: percussionist, former club dj, electronic musician, interested in history and weapons, sci-fi and mostly Star Wars nerd. Wife: former cheerleader, former sorority girl, former gymnast and all-around "popular girl." Slowly, throughout our 14 year marriage, I've brought her around to a bit of nerdiness, and this past weekend, I surprised her with an Aeon LE V3 in VA, and we had our first saber duel on the driveway. She didn't stop smiling for an hour and she's wanting to practice on applying her Tai Chi background to saber wielding now, haha. Victory! Congrats on your engagement, Master N.A. Cool pics! |
