Hello forum!
So, I finally got my first saber today. I'm going to do a review of it later, as well as pictures but I had to leave for class right after it arrived. I couldn't help but open it up though, and take a peek. So here are my first thoughts.
I got a Dominix LE with blazing red blade, silver FOC. My initial thoughts are that everyone is right, the blades are bright! Lit up my entire room with the room window open. The silver flash is somewhat pink but real men like pink ;P so I don't mind it too bad. I got a heavy grade blade and didn't notice any dulling of the colours. The hilt itself is really nice. There were a couple scratches on it around the emitter, small things that don't really bother me. It adds character. The weight is perfect, just right for two handed or single handed combat. I haven't really done much spinning yet since I couldn't take it outside. As for the sounds, just as everyone says, it is very loud! But it's perfect. Though, I have already done a couple custom sound sets through mixing of the other forum members sounds, all of which I will credit once I get a look again because I can't remember who exactly I am using.
The construction and shipping of the saber were really quick as well. I ordered last Tuesday night (09/09), the saber was built and shipped by 3:00 the next day. It arrived on Friday, but nobody was here to receive r so I had to wait until today to get it. I was very impressed none the less since that was the fastest I have ever received something from an online order. I live in Canada so normally things take about 2 weeks to get here.
So yeah. Very nice blade and colour. Comfortable grip. Great sound. And yeah, so pictures to come later, perhaps a video review as well.
One last thing, I have made both my friends and my parents jealous, they want savers too
just don't have the funds to blow on such a great thing. Thanks ultrasabers for making me happy. You can expect future orders from myself and my family.
