I already feel very welcome and i believe i read Solinus' story of his training session before i registered. T'was quite awesome and served as a clear indication that i'd probably enjoy being here more than any other forum i've seen. To be clear, by 'level headed' i only meant 'not bodily waste dispensers.' I wasn't projecting sanity upon you. Sanity is boring (and subjective), and really if any of us were what most people consider sane i doubt we'd be here to begin with. Mmmm, poison sith cookies. I should offer them to the coworker of mine who brought in parking lot oreos (literally oreos found in a parking lot, claimed they were from home) and didn't tell anyone until AFTER we had eaten them.  I shall encourage my wife to get on here at some point. |

Hello all,
Just thought I would drop a quick note in here as a short intro. My name is Guy (yes for real) but I tend to go by Fuzz, or Rabid on line and to most of my close friends. I have worked in the video game industry for the last 10 years "breaking stuff and getting paid for it" as a buddy of mine so eloquently puts it. I work in San Francisco for an amazing mobile games developer/publisher. I have just recently ordered my first saber from US. I used to have a Force FX Mace Windu before it was stolen a few years ago. I am now currently awaiting a brand new Raven with SS claws and SS pommel. The blade is mid grade (I don't foresee any real dueling in my immediate future) and will be Consular Green. I waffled for a bit but finally decided to go ahead and splurge on myself so it will have Obsidian Sound as well as a Green Illuminated AV switch.
Question: Any of you saber addicts live in the San Francisco Bay Area? If so let me know!

WELCOME! I love fresh meat! The raven is an EXCELLENT saber, you're going to love it! And there are quite a few of the people on the forums from Cali, I'm not sure where all of them are though. There's a link for dueling partners searching. (I think in Way of the Saber forum) And even if you duel with the mid grade, you won't have problems.  They're all for dueling. |

I have spent years developing an immunity to most Sith poisons. Yeah I REALLY can't wait for my Raven to get here. Sooooooooooooooo stoked! It just called to me when I was trying to decide. I think the second saber purchase might end up being a bit harder to choose though. Not necessarily looking to duel so much as just meet and hang out with some new awesome folks with similar interests. (Damn now this sounds like a dating profile.) -RF |

if the trap involves cookies, bring milk?
and anytime you meet up for sparring with sabers, bring lots of water, depending on the group you hang out with, it ends up being an incredible workout
so worth it though

I noticed that their CS # was a 408 area code and wondered if that meant they were nearby or if they just had a CS office here. Cool to know that they HQ here. Yup! My company has offices up in the San Jose area. If I ever get a chance to go up there for work, I'd love to drop in on them and say SURPRISE!
Pyrestone Orange I think is going to be my next saber color, but I want it with quick disconnects. Looking at getting an Archon or Arbiter next, unless the Dark Shock comes back. But the regular Shock is starting to grow on me too.
