This is my home made Dark Initiate Walking Stick, that I have named Torch.
I made this from my "defective" forum raffle prize Dark Initiate(which was later replaced).

My Art Work "Emitting" from The Handle

This is my rendering of a "Grey" saber blade in the process of ignition. I named the art work itself "Tribal By Fire"

That's pretty freakin' sweet! I'll have to do this myself! Haha I can just see myself walking around a retirement community using a lightsaber as a cane! That would be so beastly! Nice artwork also, have you though about putting it over the entire blade? Oh and one more question: How the heck does that end cap fit so well?

I'm actually leaving the art work the way it is. It's hard for me to explain why. I just haven't really found the right words to express how I was feeling when I drew it.

The end cap turned out by accident. I had originally glued the base of the Drawer Pull to the rim of the Saber saber handle and clamped it in a vice to start with. After I took it from the clamp and assembled it, I leaned on it too hard and the Drawer Pull pretty much got "Forced" in.

It's your saber, do what you want with it! I do think it looks very good the way it is but my personal preference would be to have the whole blade drawn on. That's very interesting with the drawer pull also! Don't you love it when you accidentally do something that just works out perfectly?

Some of my greatest accomplishments occurred when I wasn't paying attention.

I took my practice bokken blade and filled it in with my Tribal By Fire design, as best as I could re-create it. This is what it looks like fully filled in.

I wanted to note, that if you do draw a design on a wooden dowel, seal it with something afterward. The design is a bit smudged from handling it. I think I'm going to seal it with Mod Podge from the craft store. I hope it works.

Very nice work! I'm sure you'll become the only one with such a walking stick in the 'Old Folks Home'  Grin

I customized the grip using 550 paracord for a wrap.

I don't really see myself as a dark side kind of guy, so I came up with this idea for making my Dark Initiate walking stick more light-side friendly.

First, I changed the spiral wrap to white as you see in this first picture

I also changed the wooden dowel "blade" as you see in this next picture

This is what it looks like full length

This is what I used to paint the blade and give it a "glow"

I decided  that I'm going to use this initiate handle as my modification test subject. I figure since it's a hollowed out shell of it's former self, I might as well do testing with it instead of on my new sabers. So you'll see alot of this saber handle in the future as I think of new ways to modify it. Thanks for checking out my post. MTFBWY

Whether dual wielded or attached into the staff "Being" these 2 sabers are connected through the living force and can not be separated. For they seek each other out.

Most definately. I've never been really good at arts and crafts, but seeing all the great mods done in this forum, I get these flashes of inspiration. I thank everyone who puts forth their efforts and share their designs here.
