Nope, just some red cord I found at Walmart. I think the paracord would probably hold up better durring dueling. I need to find some. I do like the way it turned out !

To keep myself busy while waiting for the arrival of my second GB Initiate V2 LE, which comes in tomorrow, with the Aeon Coupler(YAY!), I have been practicing my spinning with this wooden dowel pictured below. I decided to spiral wrap the middle to simulate two sabers joined as a staff. This way I would know if my hands were hitting the blade while spinning. I think it has really helped with my hand-coordination a lot. This is a 1 inch diameter, 4 foot dowel  I measured so that there was 1.5 foot on each side exposed, which left 1 ft in the middle for wrapping.  |

A very neat effect. I think it would look cool wrapping the saber with a color that matched the blade color. Nylon paracorde is dyeable to obtain the desired color.

The secret is leaving it in the dye until it gets a shade or two darker than you want cause the coloring will lighten up when you are rinsing it in cold water. Also don't throw out the dye cause you might want to put it back in for a longer time if the color is not to the liking. As for drying, I just let it completely air dry.

 dj awesome stuff i've tried myself with this wrapping business but i had leather it did'nt work well could'nt stand it...i tried it out on my redemption like a katana style wrap around the switch going down to the hilt area and tied in a not and its dangles for a 3-5 inches
