Well I finally got home to my package and my third place prize!

First things first, my entry saber.
A reaper with B/G emerald driver, green av switch, and obsidian v4 soundboard.
I got a guardian pommel and dark menace emitter to switch out with the reaper standards and I love it.
This is a beautiful saber, though I did notice the shade of black anodized material is different on the various components - though only slight.
The v4 obsidian board is absolutely amazing, the ability to switch sound fonts or go silent on command is exactly what these sabers need and I look forward to these being an offered option on all sabers.

Unfortunately the Menace shroud spins too freely when on the Reaper so I had to go with a different combination using the reaper shroud - which I ended up being really happy with

I love this combination as it looks like the crystal chamber is peaking through



And my third place prize, an Aeon V3 in Blazing Red

I actually don't see many use the Reaper shroud with a new emitter. Yes the Menace emitter looks good but the collar with the top of the Menace emitter are cohesive. It looks really good. And cool with the V4 board I didn't know you ordered that. Fun!  Cheesy

Yeah, I wasn't sure it'd work since the reaper shroud requires a pretty long emitter to fit within it, but it worked out pretty well with everything nicely secure.

Looks sensational Drahcir..... I really like the Menace emitter without the outer part the way you've done it..... Points man  Smiley

What are your thoughts on the reaper thick silver part? (what would you call that part?) how do you find the upper hand grip?

I've just been calling it a shroud, oddly enough, the balance point of the saber is just below the shroud. I've been holding it below the shroud very comfortably and so it plays in more aesthetically than practically. I can hold it by the shroud, but I have large hands. If someone doesn't have decent sized hands I'd find it very hard to grip.

I really like that Reaper combination.  It looks great!  Cool
A lot of the time I don't really care for the mix-and-match look of some sabers, but you definitely have an eye for it.

Yeah, some saber combinations really look bad mismatched, but as long as you maintain the overall lines of the saber I think there's lots of freedom in what you can do.

Yeah, I'm in love with this hilt.

I'm actually surprised more people don't attempt to work with the silver shroud on the reaper, I see it removed often.
It adds a lot of versatility to what you can do to the emitter in my opinion - you just need larger hands if you wish to grasp it there.
