My sabers on the old wishlist that are anodized would look great with a blue or red switches maybe just start with those colors.

Except for the "rad" part...that's sooo 1980's something cliche. However, I would like to see at least red and gold (to compliment the light LEs) offered as well. The gold has potential to be problematic in matching the gold anodize. But it would still look sweet. Not to mention having a dark saber with a red AV...can I get an AMEN? |

WOW! I've never seen the other colored switches beyond chrome and black! Nice assortment. Would add to the phrase of "pimping" your saber! I get that folks want diversity and US could bring that to reality. Though, you could buy these from another source and EASILY do the swap yourself. Hmmm, the possibilities are promising!

I just discovered the black AV switches the other day as I hadn't configured a lightsaber on the site in a while. Very nice touch, thank you US! I think a Chosen One with a silver activation box and a black AV switch would be the way to go.

Here's one I void-ed the warranty on earlier, lol.....  Found this 16mm Non-illuminate av switch on eBay  And this is how it looks on a silver hilt  I haven't found any 16mm illuminated ones yet (only 25mm, way too big to work on one of our sabers) but this gives us an idea of how it could look... This blue switch is a different blue colour to US Azure hilts, I'll see if I can get a comparison pic sometime soon... Cheers  |

Is there a step-by-step guide anywhere on the forum advising on how to replace guarded momentary switches with AV switches? I've got the guarded switches on 3 of my hilts, and I'd like to make the change if possible - but I'd prefer to know what I need in terms of tools, know-how and so on first |

Hi James, not really, and I've looked and looked, lol...... Putting in a Non-illuminated momentary av should be fairly simple from a guarded momentary, you may even be able to do it without removing all the wiring, but the hardest bit is drilling out the 16mm switch hole.... I don't have any sabers with guarded momentary switches, all my obsidian sabers have av's, so I'm only going on my experience putting av's into stunt sabers..... But I guess you'd take out the switch, mark and cut the wires, protect the in hilt wires while you drill out the switch hole, and re connect the switch wires to the av then glue in or fit the av back into the hilt..... I've been thinking of doing a step by step guide of how I do my av's into a stunt saber, a lot of the same steps could be used, maybe I'll do that some time soon..... Cheers |

Would this switch be one that could just be pressed/glued into place in the existing hole? The wiring side of it isn't much of a concern for me - it's the idea of drilling any of my hilts as I have no experience of doing that with metal, and suspect I'll ruin the hilt I try it on... |
