That's what happens when you try to block blaster bolts with the hilt, rather than the blade. lucky your powercells didn't overload or you shattered your focusing crystal. (Damage looks great, might want to add some carbon scoring/charring with a little black/gray paint to emphasise the high heat damage, but the melted effect turned out great)

Thanks for the tips guys. I'd never do this to one of my top sabers. This is the first saber I got and it was only a stunt. I just wanted to beat it up a little for display. And I like to think the saber was damaged on the planet I found it and I just cleaned it up a little lol polished it down

Hi SS. I think that this partially melted and blasted look is really cool. Sure you can do more if you wanted. But with the modern style of this saber and it's golden grooves, you have achieved the look of a saber that is working but was discarded by it's owner or abandoned during a battle just because it wasn't esthetically pleasing anymore. Perhaps left while in a quick get away. So what's this saber's story ? Well deserved point for you.  |

Thanks DS! I found my saber on a planet called Abro Dreth. A planet where a mask is needed to breathe due to its gases. While a jedi was there to discover who was selling rebel plans to the empire, he was attacked by a sith apprentice. The jedi was duel wielding two aeons. One was damaged as the sith struck it and his breather mask. With his breather broken the jedi was able to defeat the sith and get into a nearby oxygenated bar. After sending information to the jedi counsel he returned to the scene of the fight to find his aeon missing.

Well that would make sense that a child would find this saber and want to clean and shine it up a bit. The saber symbolic of something of beauty/light and representing the opposite of his dark and dirty mining duties. This story has a lot of possibilities.  |

I often find inspiration that way too. Looks like you have some awesome sabers. I'm getting another one in October for my birthday. Might wait til November and see what kind of black Friday sale US will do. Do u have any of your sabers set to shimmer/flicker? I'm wanting to get an emerald saber and was curious what u think about that set up
