Figured this would be a good tech question. So I tested a newer Ultra Edge Heavy Grade blade on my Bellicose, I got that saber back in 2012 with the older LEDs, I think they were 5 watt at the time? Anyway, I put one of my newer blades on and it glowed much nicer with a newer blade on. So I was just wondering if anyone else noticed when you put a newer blade on an older LED that it glowed tons nicer

Was you old blade an Ultraedge also? I believe there has been a change in the Ultraedge blades. I have an older midgrade and my daughter has a newer heavy grade. Mine is whiter looking when they are both off and her does seem to transmit light better. I also have a friend with one of the newer select a size ones without the film and it is less white than my UE blade but it lights pretty well even without the film. I think newer tubes have better light transmission properties.

No regular Heavy Grade for now. I ordered a blade from a different company though I've been wanting to try. Wont mention any names unless this one is cool. Do any of you try other companies blades on your US hilts for different effects? Will be posting mine here soon =] Figured I'd go ahead and ask here too instead of flooding the forums  Like who here sometimes mix matches other's blades with US hilts? |

I just don't see how blade talk wont hurt just not hilt talk. I mean as in blade talk at least should be okay to me at least. But yeah I also do it out of respect

My personal favorite blades I have ever used are from a company that has the initials of VV. Well diffused, both internal and external and the blade film is just about impossible to crinkle.

I will be giving one a test run here soon, still in process. I'll be using it on my Bellicose if it allows me too since they do a different film insert option then most do. Mine is also a dual diffused, hope its okay to talk options too, its at 34 inches and shine through tip, my first ever in that style. Plus been wanting something different for my Bellicose anyway. Might get me one for my Shock and other sabers too. Don't hurt to try other accessories at least I don't think so anyway =] But hilts for me will only be from US
