You know, considering certain hints ultra has dropped.... I'm only hazarding a guess here, and a mighty big one at that, but all things considered I wouldn't be surprised if Obsidian eventually sported some secondary features. I mean, it didn't initially have FoC. Now it does. Ultra has mentioned something about future electronics related developments, and lots of interesting things being in the future... it just makes sense to me that we might one day see something like pulsing blades or accent LEDs. Dang... a US with accent LEDs. Now that I'd love to see!

Oh, and BTW... I'm not an expert on the Intrepid Class, but I can claim similar knowledge of the Constitution Class Refit, and I'm not bad with the Galaxy or Defiant Classes either.

He already displayed some of those features on his custom builds, such as the Archon Luke V2:
