My First Saber

This is my first post, but I have been sort of lurking here for a while with the help of Jammo.  

After playing with my boyfriends sabers, I decided to get not only one for me, but I also got one for my daughters 5th birthday. I purchased the Prophecy with the Heavy Grade blade with SRD for myself and I absolutely love it.  The color is absolutely perfect, and the hilt isn't too heavy nor is it too bulky to duel with.  The button doesn't seem to get in my way which I seem to have a problem with on a couple of Jammo's sabers.  (My profile picture is of me, with my saber.) I purchased my daughter the Dark initiate V2 with the a mid grade blade in Red, and it was the best present she could have ever have gotten.  It's the perfect size for a child and it can also double as a dual wield for me, I prefer to have one long and one short when I dual wield and it's light weight, and like the Prophecy, the button doesn't get in the way.  I couldn't be happier with my purchases.

Haha, I picked up the Dark Initiate with ultraedge blade in consular green for my son and he loooves it! I cant even set foot in the door after work before he is trying to drag me outside to duel " Darth Dad ".

I think the Initiate is a perfect choice when purchasing a saber for your child, hope you both enjoy them as much as my son and I have enjoyed ours.

Hahaha well I am still learning the ways, I am not that good at dueling yet.  I still have a couple bruises on my knuckles from Saber Sunday this past weekend....

No she just hits me with it, Like Kato in the Pink Panther. She'll come out of nowhere, hit me then run. She's crazy, or I am for buying her a saber.

Great choices!  Its always nice to see parents buying sabers for their kids, gives them a way to play with them in a fun, athletic way!  SRD is a beautiful color, I have been looking to get something for myself with it.  Welcome to the world of sabers, and good luck keeping yourself from buying more!  Haha
