The DARK SIDE is calling.

Looks like it might rain tonight, I had planned on bringing my saber out trick-o-treating with my kids.

Any thoughts on how much water these can resist? I have a stunt saber, no sound.

As long as your saber has a solid pommel and you keep the blade in, you should just fine.

As long as it's not raining cats and dogs (or put underwater) you should be fine. Just put the blade in firmly and use a solid pommel like Sarich said Smiley

I've been stuck in the pouring rain a few times with my Guardian and it still functions perfectly!  I did keep my hand over the speaker, though . . . but it probably didn't do much good.   Cheesy  I think you'll be fine.

Be careful around the switch as well, especially if it's a guarded rather than AV switch as it may have a little gapping around it.

I prefer to stay close to neutral.

As a resident of Alaska's southeastern rainforest (at 13 feet or more of rain/precipitation per year, yes, it's a rainforest, with emphasis on RAIN), this terror is particularly familiar to me. I've spent some time thinking about how I'd go about waterproofing either of my 'sabers, should I have occasion to go walking out with it (nothing's come up yet). My Dark Catalyst has sound, so I'd probably mute the soundboard and put Saran Wrap under the pommel before screwing it in. As to the blade, I think I'd find a small-gauge O-ring or rubber band and place it at the bottom of the blade before putting it in the socket to seal the emitter off before locking it down. As to my AV switch, I would likely either go for the Saran Wrap again, locking it down with a couple hair ties or something. I have explored the option of buying a second pommel and using either caulking or JB Weld to seal off the vents for waterproofing.
With my Dominix LE v3, since it's a stunt 'saber, I don't really need to worry about the pommel, but the clicker switch is of concern, and I'd probably do the same thing with its blade as with my DC.
I'm glad your Halloween passed without harm, and I hope this helps anyone else who might see this thread.

There are neither light or dark side; The Force is a vast and beautiful rainbow. I would seek neutrality and balance in and through the Force.
Sabers owned:
Shock with RGBW Emerald (SRD, Pulse: EG, FoC: AB) and Obsidian v4 Sound, Recharge Port, non-illuminated AV Switch.
Dark Catalyst in Blazing Red w/ Red-illuminated AV Switch and Obsidian V3 Sound.
Dominix LE v3 in Adegan Silver (standard setup).

Where I live it rains a lot too. Is it safe to take sabers with sound out when it's humid? Or like right before it rains, and mist settles on your car. Would that hurt it under misty conditions?

Swinging it in wet air would surely get some condensation inside your pommel.

This is pretty reassuring info, but I'm still rather hesitant to commit to swinging my sabers in the rain. Call it paranoid, but I just feel like the LED will short out, or internals will get rusty. Heck, last thing I also want is mold growing inside my hilts. I'm rather interested in those ideas of waterproofing to be doubly sure negative outcomes are successfully sidestepped.
