This is my friends curved Reaper, on the forums his name is Darth Awesome(not active atm).  I asked him if he would do a saber swap with me so I brought him my Menace SE in exchange for his curved Reaper for the week.

It has Obsidian V4, Emerald RGBW with a white illuminated silver AV switch with ch4 dedicated to the AV - so RGB.  He also got an UE HG blade with bullet tip(but removed here).

To my knowledge this is one of three that are out there, the other two belonging to James Casey and JediXIX on the forums.  So this is a one off saber NOT available for purchase from the US store.

How did he get it?  At the time he was new to US and he was interested in the Mantis and in conversation I told him about James and JediXIX's curved Azure Reapers they had won during US raffles.  Darth Awesome decided to email US and ask if they had another one sitting in the shop and they had one left(again to my knowledge), so after some emails he and US made a plan and he was able to purchase it.  Pretty cool of US to work with someone new at the time and have their first real lightsaber to be a curved one like this!

Here it is:

In these pics I'm using a regular UE blade and I changed the color to a lime green with AB FoC.  I'm certain he chose a white ill switch because it'll go nicely with any blade color and it just looks nice on the black hilt as well.  Even without the claws I find this to be a long hilt and somehow the curve makes it feel big too.  The curve is interesting and it makes for an handle which I feel is a little bulky to wield but my friend does swing it with so much more ease than I can.

*Sigh* I wish I'd known there was another one out there... It's an awesome looking hilt, and definitely one deserving of the extra Emerald investment.

I'm surprised you have issues wielding it. Have you tried a normal Reaper or a Mantis? Those were my frames of reference and I really like mine Smiley

That is a mean looking saber and to top it off, it's fully loaded. +1

@James - yes a lot has to do with no time or experience with a curved handle but in general it's not my style so I haven't sought to learn it. That said it's still pretty fun to play with, not all the good stuff can go to you Brits ya know Cheesy

Man, this is a stunning saber. I'm not one for curved hilts personally, but this is a great combination. I wish they would have made more of these. But I like it! Especially with the black and green color combo going on with it. It is certainly a one off. I might just have to poke around and see about trying to get a one off myself.

Very nice. That green makes the saber look very regal too. Hope this is one of the new coming curved designs. Take the shroud off and get say a Manticore high pommel and it shouldn't be as awkward to wield. I plan on that for a future Reaper as well. How does the shroud come off though? I've seen pictures and without the shroud that gives for a nice choke grip too

Yeah, I was thinking that it'd look awesome with some alternative options on - Dark Shock emitter'd look fantastic, I think.

Just to complete the triptych:

And with its 'brothers':

If the curved 'sabres hinted at turn out to include curved Reapers... Well, I'll have to buy one in black, simple as that!

It's s good thing you're all Jedi- a sith would be pretty much unstoppable, feeding off all of our envy for those sabers!  It's like a holy trinity of ultra sabers- the only three of their kind (as far as we know)... SO cool!  Thanks for posting this Haz, Jed, and James Smiley.  It's like witnessing an eclectic little piece of US history.  MTFBWY
