My day blades are all set! I cut them to be about 30 inches. You guys can pick up the stock for these at TCSS and fill them with cellophane from the gift wrap department.

However, looking at these pics more closely....Sam what happened to your greeblies? When I'm spinning them the edge of my palm keeps unscrewing them. The day I got the saber one came off in my yard and I couldn't find it. I took them off after that. US sent me some replacements, but I'll be keeping them put up until I take it to a con or something. I was surprised they screwed in, I thought they were part of the hilt. |

The things I'm practicing are probably a little more intensive than what most people are doing. I planned to get some Loctite, I just haven't yet. I'm worried if I do that, will I end up breaking the crystal off of the screw?

Wow MNA, incredible looking sabers you've crafted^^ Question: are they "battle-ready" or show props? Regardless, I wish that I had your creativity/skill with lightsabers Well they're made out of PVC primarily, so that isn't really intended for the kind of strain endured by sabers during heavy usage. However, the material tends to be flexible enough to hold up to just about any light usage (although we put so much effort into the exterior details that we typically don't recommend using them for combat anyway). I've been moving into more durable builds, specifically for combat, and I'm pretty excited to test those out! |
