Thanks for the kind words! I'm a perfectionist and it's not perfect but with normal wear and tear over time, it'll be fine. Here's the easiest video I've found on yt to help yall out. You don't HAVE to use an actual fancy power source...grab a 9 or even 6 volt battery. Take a little longer but same results. If you get something where you can control the amps, I go for about 4 to 6. Half of this is him making the stencil, btw. And I've found that super saturated salt vinegar works really well. You can use a qtip for the detailed areas and a fluffly cotton ball for a more even etch for larger areas.

Bane's Heart with a Terry Red Lee filter, almost perfect match to Blazing Red and I like this set up  Also with a standard clear type dueling blade as well, looks lots better I think  |

Thx guys! My problem now is that I'm running out of space on my 2 standard issue sabers.....everything else I have is kinda fancy or has a grip that isn't going to allow for anything bigger than 1/2 inch. Bah! I'm still working part time (RN) but I need something to occupy me during the rest of this quarantine time! Anyone know where I can quickly get plain sabers? lol

Just some ideas: Get some plain strips of aluminium/aluminum and start practicing, showing us all your desigs and project. Then start making saberstands out of the strips or from scratch and etch those. Make some nice targets out of the strips for target practice? (I've got a few ideas on those.) Etch the pommels. Etch nametags for your saberbags.  |
