I just remembered, about those initiate blades, i remember posting a question about them. now that you have them, maybe you can give info.
Are they the same durability as a Mid-grade. Some say that initiate only designates the length.
Also as you compare yours, take a look at the replacement initiate blade page in the store. i made a fuss about this earlier, but they say on that page that
"These blades are superior to stock Initiate blades"
Some speculate it's a typo. Maybe you can give some insight.
One last thing, do you feel your blade brighter in an Initiate than a regular length?

Yes they are the same durability as the Mid-Grade. Initiate blades are always 24in. I'm sure it's a typo, My wife has had her initiate blades since last xmas and in that time we have dueled a lot, dropped them, beat me insistently with them and they haven't failed at all in delivering the same quality as out of the box. Again the only Dig between the Mid and UE is the mid has a slight core, the UE goes all the way to the edges of the blade. Ok with my Mid in sometimes it seems it gets just slightly lighter towards the middle of the blade. In the dark not noticeable at all. With the UE because it's made from white polycarb or has that film in it, the color is the same all around. When I use Initiates the Mid's do not show that problem. Less distance for the light to travel. |

I'm a big fan of the regular midgrade. I think that's what I'm gonna get with my Sentinel Yellow Initiate V3.

I'm a big fan of the regular midgrade. I think that's what I'm gonna get with my Sentinel Yellow Initiate V3.
Normally I would vouch forthe UE on my SY but I really like the way the mid grade gives the blade core to it. |

Yeah I mostly like how the color comes through unfiltered. The Ultraedge is cool looking, but it washes out and distorts the color just a little bit...

Grade = Thickness. Edge = Appearance. |

Thanks, I keep forgetting that ultraedge has two grades, mid a heavy. When I think of ultraedge blades I am thinking of the heavy grade.
