YYYYEEAAAAHHH baby! I'm super hyped! I just ordered my 2nd Ultra Saber, ever! My first saber was just a simple grab bag (Aeon v4 without windows), no blade. Question about the current Ultrasabers Spring Initiate Giveaway (yes, I entered the code): I'm assuming, because it's not specified, that this hilt won't come with a blade...or does it? I'm probably gonna give it to my 4 year old son. He loves everything Star Wars. Also, should the UltraEdge Midgrade be strong enough to lightly duel (play) with my son? He's not wild or anything, so I don't expect him to go ALL OUT on me. Cheers! |

Oooo nice! Graflex is one of the absolute classics in my opinion.
My second saber on order is an Emerald Consular with Obsidian v4 in Fire Orange (weird combo, but eh why not) as part of the earlier spring raffle
I believe the free Initiate is a stunt saber. Picked at random among any of the Initate hilts, with a blade. Not sure if the blade color choice is possible on your part. I'm guessing it's likely to be random.
As for the Ultraedge Midgrade, all Midgrade blades are good for pretty decent contact. I've been doing a choreo with my Guardian using a standard midgrade blade against my friend's Heavy Grade and it's still fine.
If you're personally going to go out and look for a group and do some decent duelling then I'd probably recommend going for a Heavy Grade. Otherwise a Midgrade should tide you over just fine.

A retention wrench is 8/32 and when you insert a Blade Plug or a Blade, you want to lower the blade so that it rests on top of the LED unit, this will help to protect your LED. When tightening the retention screw, you should tighten until you feel medium tension and your blade no longer wobbles inside the emitter. Once you've done that, take the screw about another half turn and that will make your blade extremely secure, just make sure you don't overtighten. |

Make sure any saber play is supervised because an Ultrasaber can break things. Either nice things you own, or his (or someone elses) skin/bones.

HOLY GOD! I just received my Graflex SE! OMG it's beautiful.
I'll post a video review once I get over the initial shock...and I have the time.
My shipment also came with the free Initiate saber! It looks to be a Dark Apprentice LE v4, with window. Blade colour is Guardian Blue with an UltraEdge Midgrade blade.
Beauty!
I'll see if I can post a picture. Should I use a file hosting service for that? If so, which one?

You have to use a file service to post photos on the forum.
PhotoBucket is pretty straight forward, when you upload images to your (free) photobucket account, hit the share button and copy the IMG link and then paste it into your forum post.
