The first looks like "leakage" ... your sabe can barely contain your crystal.
The second is more like a control box.
I like the first. The second though is very clean looking.

I didn't even notice there was a difference in size until you said something.  I actually like the first one better. It seems more the size of the one on Luke's hilt. It also fills the area between the grooves better. |
