If, like me, you spend a moderate amount of time on youtube every day, you will see a plethora of videos and whatnot touting lists about everything that is wrong with a movie or lists bad things about movies in general.

As someone who LOVES movies and the cinema experience, I was soooooo happy finding this video that talks about everything good about The Force Awakens. Feel free to comment below with things you liked (no negativity allowed on this thread  Cheesy Grin)

How nice!! Cheesy  You're right, this is so refreshing, especially for a movie I fell for as hard as TFA.

I laughed so hard when Kylo Ren came onscreen and this guy's win counter goes "PINGPINGPINGPINGPINGPING"!!! Cheesy  Yep, my opinion exactly. Wink  And the more I've rewatched the interrogation scene, the MORE I've seen in how amazing Adam Driver's acting really is, even down to the subtle cues, the microexpressions...you can tell he is FEELING all of those emotions for himself, in character.  Also glad he pointed out the fact that Kylo had survived a shot from Chewie's bowcaster and was still up and around.  I do think his armorweave coat helped (according to the visual dictionary, the pleated coat he wears does have some protective properties), but that was still a severe wound.

One thing I never see pointed out that was a win, as well...Han's line when he was asked who he was, where he says, "I used to be."  He has no idea (or doesn't want to think it) just how much that statement parallels his son.

Glad to see him point out the intensity of the warfare in this movie.  And the Hosnian Genocide...I consider that to be one of the most masterful scenes in the entire franchise because once you see that, you CANNOT ever look at it as a mere statistic like Alderaan, a tragedy at a sterile distance.  Nope.  I've had a dream or two about this scene...it's that haunting.

There are a few things I don't agree with regarding one of the characters, but I DO like how he captured the enthusiasm of watching the movie. Smiley

Now...and THIS disagreement comes from what I consider to be a GOOD thing in a different way...I do NOT think that the sun falling out of sight was in fact a sign of Kylo Ren's final fall to the Dark Side.  After all, Poe CLAIMED that the loss of light also meant doom to the Resistance's attempts to take out Starkiller Base, that after that it would be TOO LATE.  He didn't say it in those exact words, but that was the strong implication to what he said.  Yet Starkiller Base went down AFTER the visible light died.  And when the Base blew up, what emerges but a new and LIVING sun?

If that's foreshadowing of Episode 9--of Kylo returning to the light and unlike Vader, SURVIVING...that combination of lighting, foreshadowing, and visual sequences is going to be one of the biggest wins in the entire Star Wars franchise, all 9 movies.

Yeah, that's right.  It's an awesome movie.  People who go on and on about how it just rehashes the first film obviously saw a different film than I did. (I even told some of them that)  I don't go to the theater very often, but I'm glad I did for this one.  After all, it's Star Wars.  I have to see Star Wars on the giant screen with the surround sound.  I was so excited when the music started and the text crawl came on.  And, the movie was freaking fantastic from that moment to the last.  I bought it on Blu-Ray when it first came out.

I like this guy's videos.  I recently watched his one on Deadpool, which got a high score also.  I like how his win counter goes up for big things and even tiny things that make you go "Oh yeah, that was pretty awesome."  Smiley

Great video, wasn't boring, over talking jibberish of fanboy theories. Just great. Totally agree on Reys force pull of the saber. Everything about that point, the perfect use of the Burning Homestead, which, like Luke, was the song used to signify there is no turning back; the moment, despite them not wanting to get involved, that they are forced to accept their fate. Never has the song ever been used other than those 2 instances, genius. All the humor, Finn's personality, lack of over CGI.
My only "eh" was is the titles Resistance and First Order. The first Order, I can live with. It is a total changing of the guards. But they are still the Rebellion. Resistance just doesn't sound as cool. They are still called stormtroopers, why can't they still be called rebels? My one pet peeve of the film. I won't speculate on the future, just can't wait to see the next films.

He exaggerated a bit, didn't he? Grin I have to admit - I second every single +1 in that clip! I was quite excited when Ep. VII came out, and although it has some clear parallels to the OT, they managed to create a completely new episode. I would have never imagined that, after Lucasfilm came into Disney's possession, they would come up with a "real" Star Wars sequel! And I mean "real" Cheesy I love any of the episodes, PT and OT alike, but this may be the beginning of a new era. I hope Ep. VIII and IX are at least as brilliant as Ep. VII is - as he said, it's clearly not perfect, but it is Star Wars - even the OT wasn't perfect in some parts, and it's still loved by us!
