I'm completely in love with it, it's soooo pretty. And the hilt is very comfortable to hold and play around with. |

I just received two mystery box sabers!
The $75 mystery box resulted in an Initiate V4 in Silver with Windows and AV Switch. I paired that with a 24" blade for my young son to play with. It didn't come with color discs so I'll probably order some so we can change the blade color. This is a very nice basic, light saber that he can definitely wield.
The $200 mystery box is my first UltraSaber with sound. It wound up being a Graflex with Emerald Driver and Obsidian Sound! It also came with gold and chrome buttons, a non-illuminated silver AV switch and rechargeable batteries with no recharge port but does have a covertec wheel which I suppose is standard. It came set up with an odd idle combination so I immediately downloaded the driver software for Mac OS and made some updates. The amount of customization is quite overwhelming! I certainly wasn't expecting this, so I'm very pleasantly surprised!

Congrats on the Emerald Graflex! If you are planning on changing the color of the initiate, may I recommend getting a color gel swatchbook (Rosco, Lee, and Apollo are major companies)? Sometimes you can get them for free, and the colors you can get are much more satisfying. I know I got my swatchbook for $3 + $5 shipping. Totally worth it over the color disks if you are looking to change the silver blade color. Congrats again. |

Nice. Why does your Flamberge have different shades of red though? Like the main looks brighter like a deep red while the cross blades are standard looking red

Has anyone received a saber with Diamond Controller yet? If not, I've been eyeing the mystery box. Maybe I'll be the first!  A word of advice: Never be disappointed with your mystery box. All is as the force wills it. |

I was gonna say that the AB blade with silver highlights of the Dominix make for a sweet combo - congrats!
The only thing I'm a bit disappointed with is the fact that it isn't a windowed emitter one(and the lack of belt clip but that's easily remedied on my part), but tbh the hilt and blade color make such a pretty combo as is that it makes up for it. Also, and has nothing to do with the saber itself, but I didn't like the fact that it was literally written in Sharpie what was in the package. Kinda spoiled the surprise a little, I really love having to get the packaging ALL THE WAY OFF before I find out, ruined the "Christmas" aspect.  |

Maybe they need to know if it's a particular model to send extras like the extra blades for the Crossguards, or to send the assembly wrench with an Omen or Malice. I highly doubt they dig around looking at what everything is, picking and choosing what goes where. They would more than likely grab the one on the top of the pile, see if it needs extras and put it in the box. I ordered two mystery boxes at 12:02am and woke up to a shipping notification from 4:49am. They would be way too busy to play silly games. |

I'm pretty certain that's the reasoning behind it. But it takes 3 seconds to scribble it out with a Sharpie, or write it on some tape and rip that off when packaging it. |

You raise a good point. I also just had the thought that they probably also need to keep track of what's going out for inventory purposes. |

You guys are trippin  I'm surprised these have become the points of contention  The entire process is random. We are grabbing BOXES not hilts when these are pulled to ship. Come see us at a convention if you are curious of the process, you can see it in person  The name of the hilt is written on the paper to assure the correct accessories are included with the hilt (the wrench for a Initiate is different that the wrench for a Graflex, the blade for an Archon v3.1 is different than the blade for a Archon v2.1, the Renegade and Flamberge require additional instructions and blade, etc etc etc) The name of the fabricator is written for accountability purposes? I assume you guys want these hilts inspected and sent through quality control prior to shipping right? I gotta admit, it's kinda frustrating when you are the Wizard of Oz giving fabulous gifts and putting on a fabulous show for all and everyone is constantly trying to look beyond the veil to try to figure out what the gimmick is. Just enjoy the show and in this case enjoy the prizes. You CANNOT lose with the Mystery Box. And everything that I say in the video is absolutely true and all information is given there. The person that makes the saber is different from the person that boxes the saber and is different from the person that pulls the box and ships the saber and is different from the person that puts the shipping label on the box. We have randomized the entire process. Just look at the winnings for any needed proof of that. I don't know how long we will be giving $500, $300, $200 sabers for $75... time will tell. But I would enjoy it while it lasts and not let a bit of sharpie on the wrapping detract from it. HAPPY SABERING EVERYONE!!! |
