I thought I would share my saber display. As my family of Ultra Sabers started to grow, I looked around for ideas a long time to find a cool way to display my light sabers. At the same time I needed somewhere to put my sparring gear in between classes so it wouldn't start to stink like hockey equipment. It also always bothered me that my cool Kendo Bogu was just sitting in a bag. Not to mention, I had a bunch of books about Samurai, Swords, Shodo and Musashi that never had a nice place of prominence among all my stuff. This is what I came up with to solve all those problems. I am not the handiest guy by any means, but I did put this whole project together by my self with just my drill, minter saw, level and a few other simple tools. A trip to Lowes for under $100 got all the wood, paint, shelves, brackets and PVC parts needed for the whole display. Let me know what you think!      |

This is my house. I’ve basically turned my entire basement into a Star Wars and 80s toys museum (I have a very understanding wife as she is not particularly a fan of either). The Jedi Samurai display is one of the newer “exhibits”. You are seeing that it’s right next to my Robotech collection. Some people have commented that it does look like a high end vintage toy shop. Very nice display! And great sabers. The one second in from the right, is that a dark apprentice with a shroud over the lower body? Point given for great display!
Thank you! That is a run of the mill dark apprentice with emitter windows and a short 24” blade- I use it as a Shodo. |
