I recently got my first Ultrasaber,an Archon v.3.1 and have had trouble removing the battery pack but I'm usually able to get it out. However,my saber was making a weird crackling noise so I searched and found some people said to wrap tape around the batteries so I did but it didn't solve the problem. I tried to take the battery pack back out to take the tape off but it will not come out no matter what I do. I've tried every suggestion I can find. In addition the sound has completely stopped working and I don't know why. Any help is appreciated.

If you're able to remove the emitter, use a chop stick (or similar) to carefully slide it down and push the battery pack from the top.

There will be enough wiring for you to shake out the LED to get a stick past it to push the pack out.

The plastic speaker housing is a bit wide which is why the battery pack gets stuck.  Sanding the plastic down around the outside edge will erase this issue.

I’ve tried using things to push it down but they all get stuck about a third of the way in and I can’t push or wiggle it past whatever is in the way.

You might be pressing up against the switch, it almost goes to the other side of the hilt on the inside. When you slide something down from the top be sure to do it on the opposite side of the switch keeping close to the inside wall to get past it and to the top of the battery pack.

I'm pretty sure  have more or less the same problem on my Dark Initiate v4.

It seems like one of the batteries has poped loose inside the hilt therefor wedging the battery holder.

I can't pull the emitter out far enough to push it out from other end.

Any other suggestions?
