The stand out colours this time were Flame Red, Steel Blue and QTR Mustard Yellow (btw greens are always good, we'll just leave it at that ).

It's clear to me that while a few colours look good in a MG blade ... UE blades are the better choice here.  The colours are brighter and cleaner looking all around and I think I'll need to go back and re-use the filters in this round in an UE blade to get the most enjoyment out of them.

It seems yellows and pinks are consistently good after trying different shades of each - if these are your primary/favourite blade colours then I recommend you pick up a Lee swatch for sure.

I'll be doing another run of colours, excited to try more reds getting into darker shades of those and some more of those pinks(!)

Just noting that I've started checking the last batch of colours in an UE blade and the results are most satisfying, having shown these colours in true HD lol.

Nice batch!  I have to agree on the Steel Blue, that's an AMAZING color!  But I liked the mustard yellow and the light rose as well.  That very light rose color is a very unique color, wouldn't see many sabers with that!  :-)

It was a totally random link I found doing a google search. I thought I was looking at a store website that offered the booklets but it ended up being an order form straight from Lee USA. TBH it felt fake and I wasn't sure if I was just giving my money away to the internet lol. Then I got a proper invoice emailed to me so then I knew it was all good.

Long story, not a lot of useful info lol. I'll have a look and try and find the correct link and report back.

I also have the Designers Edition.  For the same cost ($2) there's a LOT more options than the color disks.  Be aware, though, you can only get two or maybe three filters from each swatch.  If you want to do multiple sabers with the same color you might want to order 2 or 3.

I had to put a decent amount of focus in getting three filters off one swatch, and it didn't always work out either.  Great advice on ordering extra booklets, Karmack.

Yeah.  The sad thing is the Lee swatchbook has about 500 filter swatches, of which you'll end up using about 10.  :-)  But its very hard to get more than two filters from each swatch, they're only about 3 inches long and about 1.5 inches wide.  And one end has a hole in it, so...  :-)

That still sounds like a pretty good deal for $2. That is a lot of color choices.
