After reading about the LEE filters on the forums I decided to buy two books and it is SO FUN being able to try out new colors with the adegan silver blade I got on my mystery box saber.  I just got the filters so I've only tried a few colors, and there are so many more to choose from.  Thanks for posting all the tips & suggestions

Round three people!  Back with a good 'ol UE blade and there were a few that once again pleasantly surprised with their vibrant brightness.

Cold Lavender #703 x 2 (filters)

Ald Gold #550 x 1 (yes it's bright)

Fire #019 x 2

Sunset Red #025 x 2 (orange)

Soft Green #322 x 1 (like SRD)

Follies Pink #328 x 1 or 2

Spring Yellow #100 x 1 or2 (lime yellow)

Medium Purple #049 x 1

Burnt Yellow #770 x 1 (goldish)

Soft Green ... Boom!    possibly the best example of a SRD colour I've seen in person.  One filter keeps it on the green side and two on the blue - weird but that's what it does.  Spring Yellow - the yellow version of a Lime coloured blade, so cool.

I need to do more searching in the Swatch for blues as I've found the ones I've pulled and tested to be a tad underwhelming except Steel Blue #117 which is like AB.  I also feel the same about the purples, they photograph well but in person they're a touch too washed out.  There are so many more of each of these to try yet so my own filter book will be expanding once again.

To reiterate - the yellows and pinks are ridiculously good IMO with greens coming in as solid all around.

I also need to try more reds ... if I remember right Karmack said they underperform and he's right.  You CAN get beautiful reds but in order to do so you need to double up on filters and because of that they're just not bright enough to enjoy more than a short span.

It's trial and error really and this doesn't even come close to trying different shades or colours together.  This just means that there's a lot of fun to be had

Right on Haz!  Soft green does look excellent!  Wow!

I don't mind fire...it does look dimmer though.

Great stuff though, and an excellent resource.

One filter for Fire returns the brightness but the colour gets too whited out.

Thank you!  I agree ... I guess it says something that VA and DVA are hard to attain bright rich colours by LED so filtering for the same wouldn't be so easy.

WOW Haz, those are some cool looking pics! 
 Some of those look really nice and the reflection on the wall is usually a good rep of the color in person.
 Have you found a purple that looks like Mace Windo's saber?
 The two pics look close on here but not sure about in person.
 Perhaps one of those cold lav and a med purple filter?  MTFBWY!

Thus far the purples have either a white or blue to them, not the deep rich yet bright purple like Mace's.  I'll need to keep looking through the book to find a purple I'd enjoy using regularly, something to the quality of what your talking about.  This would include trying a mix of different purples too, thanks for pointing that out.
