On the last three mid grade ultra edge blade I have received from US I noticed that the diffusion film in the blade is no longer glued at the base of the blade.  So now, every time I use my sabers the film is falling out the bottom of the blade when I remove them.  Especially bad on my Flamberge where there is a good distance between the led housing and the blade during use.

Anyone else having this issue, and what glue/ process would you recommend to fix?

I believe they did this (stopped gluing) to make it easy to take film out to fix it when it wrinkles. If you want to glue it just use some hot glue.

My first saber had the film glued in place. First time I dropped it tip first it wrinkled in a spiral all the way down the blade. The last three blades I got were not glued and do not wrinkle on impact or from drops. I've never had a problem with the film coming out even a little bit. I would recommend not using glue and just removing the blade with the tip pointing down. Just yesterday I took the wrinkled film out of my original blade and replaced it with cellophane I got at a hobby shop. Darth Cephalus has a great video on how this all works.

Thanks, I will give that a try.  I was concerned about wrinkles because it’s sliding out so much.  When I removed the main blade to my Flamberge the other day there were 4-5 inches of film sticking out the bottom.  I turned it over and it went back into place but it’s making me nervous.

Speaking from experience, careful that it doesn't get crunched up top.
