I'm tempted to use my Dark Apprentice V5 & Dark Sentinel LE V5 in a dual saber. I have them ordered for dual wield, but I did add a coupler and Dark Yari for some options. Can't wait for the V5 pre-orders to ship.

I don't mean to sound rude but it's the 30th is tomorrow and my order is still on backorder. I just don't know how my saber will be "arriving at your door in mid to late November." (as said in email sent 2 hours ago) I contacted several times and got the same sort of message telling me it is pre-order right now. If anyone has any update on when they will be shipping or anything about what the hold up is, please let me know. Thanks! I still have faith in Ultrasabers and my first saber order. And yes I am aware that when I pre-ordered it I would be signing up for a wait, but I didn't know it was gonna be this long of a wait.

Hey Applesauce!  I'm in the same boat, and my backordered V5 is holding up a MB and a raffle prize.  :-) 

I am expecting that they'll get them out next week, but that's a faith-based position not a fact-based position.  :-)

Thanks Karmack. I really appreciate your optimism and it has made me a little more optimistic about the whole thing myself. I can't wait to open it up and hold a good quality lightsaber for the first time.

Yeah, waiting for an order to ship after all this time is a new thing for me too. I have 3 pre-ordered V5's still not shipped yet.  If I had to wait this time for my first saber i'd be a bit stressed too. Course, I have about 30 sabers from various makers to fiddle around with so I have some distractions.......................

Thank you so much Karmack and Chalion. I heard the saber community was great, but now I can truly say it's better in person. I know I may have been a little stressed, but thanks to you two, I think I am way less stressed. Can't thank you enough.

Hey there Applesauce.  Trust me when I say that UltraSabers typically work quickly when it comes to getting your saber out to you.  Unfortunately, the V5 lines are still in pre-order status with quite a few that are on back order due to the popularity within the community.  They will get your saber to your so feel free to join us here and partake in the community until yours get in, I look forward to seeing your saber.  MTFBWY  Cheesy

I hear you on that.  I understand they're crunched and they may not know exactly when they'll clear the backlog, but it would be nice to get a weekly update on status when you have a backordered product.  Just a simple "We're running behind on receiving parts from the machinist" or "our vendor for (insert issue) is also backlogged..."  Its actually the silence that is hardest to take.

** UPDATE **

From another post: US did in fact have a bit of a delivery issue "upstream".  They plan to have all of the orders up to Black Friday out for shipment by 12/12 with the remaining order caught up to real-time by 12/19.   

To address the previous comment: It would be beneficial if this had been sent to everyone wtih a backorder on a V5, or even just posted in the V5 announcement thread by US...   hint hint.   :-)

That's the thing about new designs and lines being debut, back orders are going to be there since from a business since, it's hard to gauge what will outsell and what won't.  You don't want to many orders of a product especially if it's new and you're unsure if it'll sell well.  Then there's the time when they do outsell and you're having to order more which will take time for them to be produced and shipped to US.  No business wants dead inventory either like the 2 channel Emerald drivers

I'm not giving them any excuses but I've worked for plenty of companies in the past that orders products accordingly.   Now, an update would be nice, that would give customers a mindset that they will receive their products, a when and not an if.

This is also a reply to another member in another thread:


Thank you for your order with Ultrasabers.  We’re excited to be finally releasing the new v5 lineup to everyone.  Unfortunately, there has been a slight delay with some of the models so we won’t be able to get everything shipped by late November as planned.  We plan to have all model pre-orders that were placed by or before Black Friday shipped out by December 12th.  And then by December 19th we plan to have all model pre-orders shipped up to the day of for the order date.  So everyone will have their v5 pre-orders delivered before the holiday.  I apologize for any inconvenience with this slight delay.  This is all the information we have on the status of the v5 pre-orders at this time and we’re working diligently to get these out to everyone as soon as possible.  We will email you with the tracking # as soon as this order ships out.

In all seriousness, I am not upset with US and I don't think they're being unreasonable in any way.  I only wish they'd sent the statement Marlena gave to an inquiry to everyone with V5 backorders.  But if they meet these dates, I am content.  I will still have only waited for a month, and that's still faster than any other site with US' level of quality and workmanship.

I agreed with you wholeheartedly, Karmack.  It would be great if they sent an email to all customers who preordered and are still ordering the new line.
