I like the copper color on the Ant-man saber, it looks cool!!
 My brain saw the Ant-man hilt in fire Orange cuz fire ants and the Wasp in yellow. Nothing wrong with the way you have it. That's just how my brain works, Lol. Point for sharing!

Hi MavRick, glad you liked the Ant-Man hilts, they were fun little projects. And I have good news, luckily changing the blade colours is a quick fix so here are a few extra pictures for you - hope I got the shade right as I haven't seen a Fire Orange blade for a while!






I'll post my Wasp hilt this weekend on my site and early next week I can post a few renders here ok! Thanks for the continued support guys.

You haven't insulted me, I was just saying that you more or less described what I have done with the WASP. I have a curved blade and the "Stinger" pommel - I am just doing an animation of the hilt to show it off working.

I think you'd be a good hilt designer yourself.

I'm confused. Are you doing a curved hilt or blade. Curved hilt I can totally get behind. Hell...give it wing like cross guards. But a curved blade falls into the same level of crap sci-fi as whips.

Also...fire ants have stingers as well. That's why they hurt so much. They bite down like bulldogs then inject venom from their stingers. Fire ants do not play.

Hi Logos.....well....there is a slight bend in the blade but it is a shape I have used before - I've just used a different material to texture it.
Anyhoo all should be revealed early next week ok!

Kind of expected a curved hilt for this one. Odd effect on the blade too. But great work none the less.

The Wasp hilt is perfect!
 This is a really cool one! I really like what you did with it. I like how the A & the W on both hilts light up. The black and gold looks great and the blade looks like lightning, the stinger is a nice bonus.  
 I wouldn't change a thing. Point to you for sharing your work.

Thanks MavRick and Logos. The blade is one I used on a Katana hilt a while back (a cyberpunk themed hilt) but I realised that it looked a bit like the gossamer wings of an insect with the "lightning" being the veins which holds the wing in shape. The blade might be a little too thin to show that idea off fully. However I'm glad the rest of the details worked out and you liked them so thanks again guys.

When I first saw these, I kept wondering why I like the looks of these sabers so much...and then I realized that it reminds me of a game that I played as a kid with "building" insect bodies.  Let's just say that the nostalgia is strong with these hilts

I think I owned the same game you are talking about...I think the one I had was called "Busy Beetles" and featured four plastic leaves (one for each player) and you had to spin a "spinner device" that displayed various coloured insect parts and you had to collect all the pieces to complete building your bug on the leaf. The first player to complete a single coloured bug won.

Anyhoo, glad you enjoyed these and they kinda resembled real life!

Good to hear you're well, but I gotta disagree...we're not getting old, we're just getting better with age....
Egads! I can't believe I just said that after realising Episode III is 20 years old   (I mentioned that fact in the Random Thoughts topic just now).

Oh well, at least I still have some designs to showcase soon.
