Tx, you answered the very question I had about it.

There is no real choke point in it at all, so you could adjust your grip to stear clear of the claws. But I'm sure they will get you every now and then. It didn't really hurt just got my attention. If you use gloves it wouldn't be an issue.

The initiate is first, I'm determined that it will be a much better spinning saber when I'm Done. I'll draw up some plans and see what I come up with. I have six different saber projects I would like to get done in the next couple of months.

Groovy!  I can't wait.  Please let me know how to fares up with spinning.  The claws/fins were what kept me from getting one but I'm an Aeon/Nix fan so I'll eventually order one to try out anyhow.

I am constantly amazed at how a little dark paint in the grooves can dress up a silver hilt!  Nicely done!

I already managed to draw blood from myself on the Butcher and those claws are pointed outwards so I think I will pass on the V5's

My prize saber arrived today for a nice pre-holiday surprise.  Here are a few photos of my entry and my prize.






The entry saber is a simple Aeon V3 in Guardian Blue with V4 sound and Emperor's Hand pommel, just a solid basic hilt I've been meaning to acquire for a while.  My 1st prize saber is a Guardian with 4 channel Emerald driver (shown in Emerald Green) and V3 sound.  I already have a Guardian in my collection so I decided to try and make this one a little different, hence the Archon pommel I had on hand and the removed/replaced accent screws.  I didn't have a large shank/coarse thread replacement for the red thumbscrew on hand and I'm honestly kind of glad as it creates a neat "combustion chamber" window.  I may leave it this way.  Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the pics.  Congrats again to all lucky winners!

eyyyyy first true post on here!   So for my entry I got a Diamond controller consular ( currently in purple ) with a 24" HG blade with the nickle shroud + silver switch w/ yellow light.  I won the #2 prize which ended up being a Raven in fire orange with a 36" UE MG blade.  couldn't have asked for a better hilt for a prize,  it plays off the consular beautifully ^w^

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the awesome win.

Great photos, especially that last one. Wow, I've never seen a Raven and Consular side by side. I knew the Raven was bigger (the hilt without the claws) but I didn't realize it was that much bigger than the Consular. Interesting.

I feel that's partly due to the angle of the pic.  in reality it's only a 1.5"  difference,  the raven being 13.5'" without claws and the consular being just shy of 12".  what's more adorable is how it dwarfs my poor lil initiate v4    and thanks Infinit01.  gotta say orange and purple is my fave color combo for blades, something about the two together pleases a primal part of my brain xD

Wow, really loving all the pictures of your sabers (orders and prizes). Again, congrats to all the winners and to all of you who entered the raffle.  On a side note, the pictures and videos  Are helping curb the appetite to purchase more sabers for me. I have to wait until the Christmas sale. So by all means, keep them coming.
