Dominix V2 with Econo sound and custom emitter

I just wanted to share my modded Dominix V2. 

I added an econo soundboard to it and modified the emitter

Very nice mods indeed those cut outs on the emitter really give it a whole new look.

Great work! Man, I didn't think econo would fit in one of these. If I hadn't already gone through heck getting it into my Prophecy V2, I'd totally try it on my Dominix. lol

This one has a Qui-Gon econo soundboard. With the size and shape of this board, it was a perfect fit in my Dominix V2, I had no problem doing the modification.

Right now I am currently doing the same mods on my other DominixV2 with the blazing red LED and since my local store was out of Qui-Gon lightsaber and as a matter of fact out of every lightsaber except for the vader one, I decided to give it a try. Now I regret it because of its shape, I had to do a sketchy setup inside my Dominix and I'm still working on it 

Moral of the story for Dominix soundboard, Qui-Gon = Good     Vader = Pain

I took the more traditional route on my build and used the Obi board. It worked more or less okay, but the fit in the shorter hilt was so tight it's unbelievable. lol We're actually planning to tear her back down again and try doing her over for in-hilt recharge, see if we can make it all fit a little better.

Vader boards are a pain in the ass...  But I give you a point for your installation of the jedi board.  I'm curious to see you tackle this 'Sketchy Vader" idea of yours...  Keep me posted!

I have finaly finished the one with the Vader soundboard. I have attached a quick made diagram to show the difference between the setups I have in both Dominix, maybe it could be helpful for those who want to give it a try.

I understand where to put the soundcard, but how did you get it in there?  Did you carve grooves into the hilt aluminum like I was thinking of doing with mine (when I get around to getting my 3rd vader board), or did you just force it in there, making it support itself?  Very nice, both of them!  Point for the vid!

So is the Vader board really small like that?

The location of the vader soundboard on the diagram is the best place for it. The soundboard got in really flush, i was actually sweating trying to get it in . So i guess it count as forcing it in. I could not put it elsewhere because at some point the hilt gets  more narrow inside.
