Unfortunately, filters don't work very well with one-LED colors. They make an obvious difference with AS, some difference with RGB LEDs, but almost no difference with single-LED colors (aside from AS).
I have had pretty good luck with getting GB into a green but you have to go more extreme on the filter color. Standard yellow didn't do it, but spring yellow did. I haven't tried purple because I have an LED in that but I would think you might have more luck with something like a rose than with a straight red filter. |
