OK, what I really enjoy about this is that these mods are simple yet effective.  I've used O-rings for my own sabers (point of fact, "Zearic's Shoto, an Apprentice v4, looks great with them); they're 1&3/8"...or 1&3/16" can't recall at the moment...but they are wonderful for adding some nice texture and visuals to the hilt.  You know, I never once thought about electricians tape but after seeing how your sabers look, I'm convinced that I'll have to use that tape on one of my own 

Question: is the photon blade only available in green?  I'm trying to get a rich Arctic Blue dayblade (have one from another vendor) and it looks great...but I was really impressed by how bright your dayblade was.

Thanx. My little guy has seasonal skin allergies so that's why he's wearing PJs and a cone so he doesn't eat himself to death.

The photon green is the only blade that reacts to a specific wavelength (blue) to that level. The enhanced Red glows orange through blue light, but since it's made for Red, it's just not the same. And with Red is comes off slightly pink.
TCSS also has enhanced amber and blue. The blue is incredibly pale, so it might work well for Arctic Blue.

Great video and good info.   And I gotta be honest: I continue to dig the helmet.   :-)   I really should try out the O rings.   That's one simple mod I've never tried out on anything.

Simple, yet effective, O-rings are really an underrated mod IMO, Karm^^

I recommend starting with the choke points and/or grip sections

Great mod video Galef. Some very informative stuff in there. I have a Photon blade from TCSS that I lightly sanded down a bit and I love it. I like that O-ring idea

the electrical tape reminds me  of how my drumline kids like to wrap their sticks with the stuff

So I just bought some PVC including a Tee value to custom make a pair of night-baton sabers like the Brood guard. My son had been eyeing the Brood guard for a while, but only had the allowance for one ... or a Dark Initiate v4 Staff.

So I'm gonna make sleeves to glue his pommels into.
That way he can either have a pair of batons, or a single staff.
He can simply remove the custom pommel assembly I'll be making, which will include the handle and blunt ends, then put his hilts in the adjustable coupler to be a staff.

Man this is fun. And I think I'll keep the PVC white this time to contrast the black. Kinda give it a storm trooper vibe
I'll share my progress as I go.
