working on aging and damage , opinions please The effect itself looks good, but be sure to keep in mind how materials react to stresses. For instance the fabric here might burn instead of scorch. The scorch looks like it would go GREAT on metal though. Overall well done! |

The weathering on the pommel looks especially detailed  One suggestion: use a lighter background for contrast & clarity; that will really make your work pop! took a break from complete sabers and played around with emitter designs ( keeping in line with simple machining practices ) These look fantastic, HH! Keep them coming Point! |

took a break from complete sabers and played around with emitter designs ( keeping in line with simple machining practices ) Hi HesaHeart, nice collection of parts, funnily enough the last one on the bottom row reminds me of another Dr Who adversary - the Cybermen with those pipes on either side! I tend to concentrate on building full sabers too. I start making a component part, say a pommel but then get carried away and build the whole thing! However one of the single parts I did manage to build was my "Temple Emitter" which I liked quite a bit. Here's a quick picture of it:  Anyway back to your work, congrats on your progress and I definitely like the new render engine images (some form of Ray Tracing or Light Cycles engine?) Point awarded when 24hrs has passed (We can only award 1 point per member per 24hr period ok!) |
