I just got my first lightsaber yesterday and it was working perfectly when I first opened it. After a couple hours though it started to make a weird sound. It sounds like it thinks I'm constantly swinging it? I can get it to change to the flashing and power off but when I turn it on it won't stop making swinging noises like it won't respond to any movement I make with it. It's a Dark Apprentice LE v5. I don't really know what I'm doing and any help would be appreciated.

I don’t personally have any ideas other than to make sure the batteries have a fresh and full charge, but for those who know more than I know, what kind of sound do you have?  Obsidian Lite?  V3?  V4?  Diamond?

My sounds is premium Obsidian sound. I have it at full charge so I don't think that's it. Thanks for answering though!

Try adjusting the position of the speaker/battery pack. If the volume is high and is it seated too solidly sometimes the speakers own vibrations can activate the motion features. If its one who's sensitivity can be adjusted through launch hsr software try lowering it.

It sounds like it's the same pattern over and over again if that makes sense? I'm not sure how to get the battery pack out but I'll watch some videos and try to figure it out. Thank you!

You can get the battery pack out by unscrewing the pommel (bottom part of the saber) and then gently shake the pack out until you get a grab on it. Then try repositioning it. Be careful when removing and reinserting the pack, you don't want to damage the wires!

I've got the batteries out and they're charging but adjusting the pack didn't seem to make any difference. I see a plug in on the circuit board though. Is there something I could do with that? I thought I heard that did something with the sound.

UPDATE: charging the batteries and moving around the battery pack didn't help at all

That plug is to connect the saber to a computer using the Obsidian Launcher software. It allows you to make adjustments to the sounds, including volume.

Doesn't ANYBODY watch any videos or learn what the functions of their sabers are???

This boggles my mind...
