Hi everyone, first things first: I'm not very good at forums so I apologise profusely if this is in the wrong place or something.

I get very nervous around tech and electric things, especially when I have no prior experience with it, and I had a question about setting up my saber for the first time. I figured asking some non-first-time buyers for help would be a better idea than trying to figure it out on my own.

I bought a saber with a Diamond Controller (and got a free Initiate from a coupon), and have watched all the relevant videos I can find but I've always had trouble processing and remembering information when it's split up like that and wanted to make sure I haven't missed anything super important.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give a rundown of everything I need to do before switching my saber on for the first time to ensure I don't damage it or any of the bits and pieces that came with it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! Really excited to try out these sabers and unlock my inner Sith lord!!
