Anyone recognize this problem?

So has anyone had this problem before? My saber has been sitting for a couple months now... so i decided to charge it up with the recharge port.

After a day on the charger, it fires up just fine... until I unplug the cord. Then it's 100% dead again. I tried it again, and it seems to only work when it's plugged in, but won't do anything without the cord.

This is the setup I have is if it means anything to anyone...  i've only had it since March.... Had a few sparring sessions and swung it around the empty apartment... Should still be good. The 2 basic stunt sabers are still fine, but the high dollar super saber is dead...

I thing the batteries may be dead for good. The cannot hold the electric charge anymore. Try to change the Ki-Ion batteries that came with the sword with new ones of the same type. I stress, SAME type. Otherwise it won't work.
Or, if you have a charger that can revitalize dead batteries, like the one UltraSabers sells, you can try to revive the batteries. But in this case, you still have to remove them from your saber.
If nothing works, contact US and they may know what you have to do.

You have to keep Lithium-ion batteries from draining 100% dry, and the sound boards apply a (small) constant drain.  This sounds like what happened... you didn’t follow the guidelines in Care and Feeding of Lithium-Ion Batteries.  Trust me, you’re not the first, and you won’t be the last, because sometimes it’s hard to connect the dots.

Sorry, man, but you need to either revive those batteries (a long shot, but it’s possible, so it’s worth a try) or get new ones.  If you go for new ones, either order them from UltraSabers, or stick with a REPUTABLE seller and a WELL-KNOWN brand, like Nitecore, Fenix, or UltraFire.  Also, be very certain you’re getting rechargeable protected button-top Lithium-Ion 14500 cells, not single-use Lithium AA cells; trying to recharge those is dangerous.  Remember all those news reports and viral videos showing vape pens, hoverboards, and phones bursting into flame?  Yeah... that’s the kind of thing that can happen if you use cheap or counterfeit cells, or unprotected cells, or batteries of the wrong type.

Also, if you want an external charger, the one that UltraSabers sells is perfect for this, but if you go elsewhere, I’d advise you to stick with that brand, or with Nitecore.  You need to make sure you get one that can handle Lithium-Ion batteries, has separate charging channels for each battery, and has all kinds of built-in protections against over-charging, voltage reversal, overheating, and all the rest.  Sticking with those brands makes that part easy.
