Quick Release Coupler: MHS to V2 pommel

I have the phantasm initiate v2 saber staff and I got really excited when I found out bout the quick release coupler but my excitement was quickly killed when I found out it was only MHS compatible. Now, I'm relatively new to the saber world with only my second saber (dark apprentice v5, sentinel yellow, dark catalyst pommel) on its way for Christmas and my Jedi costume in the works, I figured it was time to register here because I have a question: Does anyone know of anyone who makes or knows how to make an adapter for the threading to v2 threading? I was thinking I could just weld the quick release coupler onto the two solid dark initiate v2 pommels I already have, but I would like some advice before making any moves.

I'd check with a local machine shop and have a couple of adapters machined before welding, but that's me.

I hadn't thought of it like that before, I have a few v2 designs I really liked/wanted but decided against since they weren't MHS compatible so that seriously makes it worth me reconsidering. Good one.
