I'm more of a painter than anything. Not a big fan of actually MAKING things, I only do it if I must. Denver Comic Con is coming up this weekend, the 15th and I really really REALLY wanted to be Boba Fett so I started working 10 hours a day sometimes getting this ready to wear.

This is the order and progress of everything I did so far

Cape came first

Then the back plate

Jetpack painting progress, first was priming to see everything, then sanding completely smooth

More primer

White was added first, then red, then blue

Then yellow

My sidewinder blaster kit

Put together

Painted

Gauntlets assembled

Right one painted

Both painted

Attaching the armor to the vest is no easy task

Armor being painted

All done and put back on the vest

Same thing goes with putting the jetpack on

Wore it all for the first time just yesterday to see how it worked. Was a success for the most part but needs some adjusting here and there and I still need to add some greeblies to some stuff.

Putting it all on again for some adjusting tonight and I'll take some more pictures

Some of the BEST Boba Fett costumes I have seen were all hand made.

Point to you!

Tighten up the jetpack and you've got it made man, that thing is sweet to then 10th power squared. Cool

Yeah that's the main issue I'm having, the jetpack is too heavy for the straps I put on so I have to completely redo it ugh

Use military grade webbing for the straps, there are enough colours im sure you can get it to match the costume, and that stuff can  take a boatload of weight.

Costume looks great, well done.

That is the best costume I have seen so far, nothing beats the fett man.  Couple of quick questions, what do you use to form the helmets and visors.  Appriciate the fyi

The helmets come from a big rubber mold I have, you mix up two parts of resin it's called slosh casting. You move the mold around sloshing the plastic about inside until it hardens and you do it layer after layer until you get the right thickness. For the visors I just use dark green faceshields and cut out the T-shape, it's nice because these are already bent into the correct shape:
