Ok, things are getting pretty crowed in the saber corner.  No room for a second wall rack.  No shelf space.  Doh!   Angry

Hmmm...I have a few Covertec clips in my tickle trunk.  Now how do I rig them?   Roll Eyes  How about...

Strand from some white nylon rope I had for tying up my wi...stuff, knots on the end, staple gun on ends and bracketing where each clip will go...voila.  I'm sure I can refine the idea, but for 5 minutes work, good 'nuff fer now.   Smiley Cool

Brilliant bit of cost effective creativeness! This thread inspired me, so I went and picked up a similar wall thingy by Unger for $15, in anticipation for the arrival of my first Ultrasabers next week.  Now I just have to figure out how to paint it so it doesn't look like I've mounted a mop holder as a decoration in the den. I'll post a pic when I get it finished.

I was thinking about this a while ago, and the first thought was
to look on ebay for saber stands. I mainly found the horizontal
red neck gun style racks and the MR/Hasbro stands. I dont want
a horizontal rack nor spend 20 minimum price for a single
MR/Hasbro one. So I thought pool que racks. I loved the idea,
to bad it was a bad one. Wasted 60 bucks on those things and
they didnt work.

Broom stick holder.... brilliant.. I'll have to pick one up. However
I'm currently working on a stand to hold many sabers. I cant really
decide on a few details with it. I hope to have it done by next week,
thats when my new sabers show up.

I recently built my own display holders using 1" x 4" s, .5" x 1.5" 's, L brackets and 1 1/4 pipe galvanized pipe tube straps that I picked up at the hardware store. So far they hold great and have had no issues with the blades getting marred. My put some felt or rubber on the inside of the tubes if it becomes an issue. Will post pics once my newest saber comes in to fill the remaining spot. Relatively easy to put together and only takes about 5 minutes to do if you know the lengths and have the wood pre cut at the store.
