Skinny jeans lead to the Dark Side....
Tightness leads to Pain
Pain leads to Fear
Fear of damage done by Tightness leads to the Dark Side!

Darkside point for apparent mastery of said dark side. 'Tightness leads to Pain' Pain leads to Anger, Anger leads to Hate... lol Some one should make a demotivational poster out of that and hang it near department store dressing rooms.  Grin

I wore skinny jeans for a while when they first came out. Then I realized how ridiculously 'fruity' they looked. lol Of coarse the opposite is also pretty bad:

I will take that dark side point and cherish it:)
On a serious note....A group of friends and I attend a big medieval faire every year.  The biggest one in the southern hemisphere...sooo....I'm going to take my sabers and get photos of us all in our full armour wielding them:)  A bit of Sith time travel!

I'm going out on a limb here and revealing that I am still in High School, but the first day I got my Ultrasaber man, I brought that thing in and, I am essentially in all advanced classes, everyone absolutely went crazy over it. Even the people I wouldn't have classified as knowing the difference between a Jedi and Sith could appreciate the lightsaber. I only wish I could bring it in with the blade to show them some spinning; maybe for the Talent show later this year haha. Hopefully I'll be able to drive me senior year (next year) so I can show off in the parking lot, it would be my claim to fame in the school, seeing as it is I haven't one. Other than that I am a calculus student. Fun stuff!

Sorry for the double post, but just to add to it, I have gained a lot of confidence from learning how to wield one of these Lightsabers. Between the ability to do something I've always wanted to do and the problem solving skills involved in AP Calc I have become a much more confident and decisive person these past few weeks. (Prior to that the start of the semester, when I started Calc)

It's funny you mentioned bringing yours to school. My youngest asked to bring his to a open house thing at his. I wasn't sure, but from all the beeping we get when we play out front, I think it will go over well.

Lightsabers are amazing things for all who start... They bring people together, and then hack them apart.

Yeah, when I took mine in, I made sure to call it a a "toy" when I talked about it to teachers and authority figures, but when people were holding it and stuff I made sure to tell them the LED is classified as a Class 2 Laser Device so I am not Liable for their potential blindness if they etc. etc. Just leave no room for you to be at fault seeing as it could be used like a weapon.

Lightsaber lightsaber friend to all

I usually don't take mine in public because I'm afraid of people breaking them! lol

Occasionally I will take one with me when I walk my dog, though. I also went to a costume party as a Jedi Assassin. Everyone was amazed. It was awesome.  Grin

I have people up at work asking me to bring mine in. I should adhere to their requests lol.

On another note, the other day I was out practicing some Shii-Cho kata and these 3 teens walked by. They must of been 16, 17 years old. Well needless to say they stopped and stared at me for a good minute before I said something. I could tell they were making fun of me by the snickers and the points, but I didn't care. And then the very next day one of the little girls over here around 5yrs old was fascinated by my saber and asked if she could stay and watch me. She was sweet and polite and I explained to her what it was and what exactly I was doing. I told her that I would be back out later that night to practice with my brother once it got dark out. Sure enough she was waiting by her window after the sun went down and cheered me on from her room!

The moral and point of this story is, Yes, you will have people that poke fun and laugh at you b/c you have a lightsaber. And this could have happened 100 times, but that one interested lil girl is what trumps all the negative. I love my saber and I love to enlighten all those inspiring young jedi/sith Smiley

And this is why carrying your lightsaber is worth it  Grin
