Hello all. I have a quick question for all you guys out there who have ordered a saber with a forum or "custom" color. These colors include Dark Violet Amethyst, Sentinel Yellow, Pyrestone Orange, and Bane's Heart as you all know. I ordered a saber several weeks ago in Sentinel Yellow and it just shipped. I chose Arctic Blue and specified Sentinel yellow in the order comments. I thought that by paying extra for a premium color, that covered the custom color cost. Apparently not anymore. I was charged an additional $5 today without be notified that this would happen so I was very confused. Emory informed me that it costs an additional $5 in addition to the extra 5 dollars I paid for the premium color in the first place. Has this happened to any of you? My saber before this one was Dark Violet Amethyst and I didn't get charged extra for that. I'm not mad, I have just been very patient waiting for this saber and I know it will be well worth it, I just wasn't expecting a random charge that I had no clue existed.

I got a Dominix v2 LE in Sentinel Yellow. I thought that you would be proud that another forum member is joining the ranks of the sentinels  I have a Dark Initiate v3 already so I know what it will basically look like. Just a longer hilt with silver grooves and a color I have been wanting a long time for! |

I too have ordered DVA and it was normal cost for the 'premium' (+$5) colors. Maybe it has to do with the current demand for SY?

Sounds like it will be a great saber. I was just a little disappointed that I was charged without notification. It would have been nice for the e-mail to have said that's what I got charged for. The e-mail just said "Thanks for your purchase" Obviously I was concerned since I didn't buy anything!

This is not new. It's been posted by me here on these forums. And anyone that inquires about these colors via email has been given the same information.
Cameron, I can pull up the 12 or so orders from you and Joseph Stafford where you were charged for the forum only colors you requested. For example, particularly order # 18583 where you ordered Violet Amethyst and requested Sentinel Yellow and were charged $5 additional. Please don't give members inaccurate information, no one is given special treatment, and anyone and everyone that orders a forum only color has to order a premium color (VA, SRD, or AB) and there is an additional $5 charge.
I apologize if there was some confusion with this. But these are not colors that we normally offer or even normally make and we have to charge extra to make these non-existent Ultrasabers forum only colors.

I'm sorry It wasn't my intention to misinform anyone.  We just never noticed the charges, we assumed it was just the normal $5; I completely understand the extra charge. Again my bad. |

It makes sense I would think, the extra charge. As Deep said, these aren't the regular colors in their lineup, so they have to put in the extra work to custom-wire these RGB leds for the special colors... I think it's definitely worth the extra dough!

I agree. I'm just glad they make them at all! They are, to my knowledge, rare colors in the LED saber world. I've never seen pictures or heard of anything other than an US product that had DVA, for example (I'm not saying it's a fact, just that I've never seen it).
