I really dig this. Point! Hey guys, I've just finished my wall mount! It's pretty simple, just a piece of wood stained black and with MagLite clips screwed into it. I used a mixture of D-cell and C-cell sized clips to fit the different saber sizes. I'm pretty happy with the results. What do you think?

Thank you so much for this! I have ordered two lightsabers today as part of my husband's 30th birthday present and was planning on using these as lights to go in the 'man-cave' I have decorated and created just for him. I was desperately trying to figure out how to put them on the wall (I ordered the stands hoping that they could be incorporated in some way) and this seems perfect! Thank you!

Apparently I cannot find a C Cell Clamp for love nor money in the UK.
Would a D Cell clamp keep a Dark Initiate LE V3 securely fastened to the wall?

Hi LadyNyra, I had the same problem trying to find C Cell clamps in the UK. I got some on eBay in the end but doesn't look like they have any right now. D Cell clamps alone won't hold an Initiate V3 unfortunately. The hilt is thin enough that it'll just slip through. You could do it if you hung the hilt with the activation switch pointing to the side so that it rests on the side of the clamp, but you probably don't want it that way round, and you would definitely need two clamps to keep the hilt vertical if you did that. Another idea I considered is to make the clamps tighter by sticking something to the inside, such as that sticky back felt you put on the bottom of table legs, etc to stop them scratching the floor. I should also mention that since making the stand, one or two or the C clamps have snapped after having the saber repeatedly pulled in and out of them. I guess the thinner plastic isn't that strong. Fortunately I bought spares so no big deal, but if it keeps happening I'll probably try D clamps with felt for my Initiates instead. |

I need to do one. I have 3 HFX and 4 Ultras I believe and soon to have one from the other guys of my own. Plan to get a few more Ultras too and newer HFX's as well. My Utras are listed in my list though so been wondering if any of those would fit the hilts. Next sabers I plan to get is a Graflex, Guardian, and probably Sentinel V4

Difficult to say (I don't own a V4). They don't seem to have such an obvious choke point for the clip to go in than the V3 sabers do. A C-clip might fit around the emitter section where the windows are. It might be worth buying both clip sizes and experimenting. I wouldn't recommend attaching anything permanently to the wall until you have the saber in hand to try it out for size. |
