Heya everyone! My new beast just arrived, and as I promised, here's the review.

Specs:
Blade Color: Blazing Red
Blade Lenght: 40''
Battery: Li-ion setup with Buckpuck
Button Color: Gold
Sound:Yes, with Red AV switch, no activation box
Flash on Clash: Orange
Claw Size: Small
Pommel: Round

To start off, this thing is BEAUTIFUL. It just makes you feel... powerful when holding it. It's quite heavy too(makes my Raven feel light), so it's not very recommended for those who like it light. The emmitter holds most of the weight, as expected, but the hilt itself is quite heavier than usual. It feels very confortable to hold, especially without an activation box and with the AV switch.

Disassembling the saber, I get these 3 parts. Strangely enough, my emitter comes off at a different spot than the one posted in the Build Your Own section. Oh well, that works for me too. Both it and the pommel come off quite smoothly, but the battery pack is a little hard to pull out. I can just barely fit the batteries in without having to strain it, but again I can live with that.

For those who requested I take pics with the blades off, I have to apologize. I tried as I might, but I just don't have the right tools to get them off. Sorry 'bout that.

I haven't played around with it enough yet, but from what I have, the Malice gets a solid 10/10. You will feel like a true Lord of the Sith when you wield this magnificent beast of a saber.

I might do a video review later, but I'll have to play around with it some more first  Tongue

Beast! Gratz on the great saber
But I do have one question
Hows the weight compared to the Raven? I mean like can you one hand it with effort is it strictly a 2 handed saber guess you kinda answered it but...
Looks like it might be the same or more in the claymore department

Great review, thank you for the pictures. Interesting about the Emitter i thought it all came off as one.

How does that 40"in blade handle?

You should always order the blade wrench, you can never have to many of those little things. lol

Point.

I don't have a scale to compare them precisely, but it's quite a bit heavier. It's definetely a 2-hander, unless you have a LOT of arm power.

The blade sits quite deep, as stated in the description of the saber, so it's not really very different, at least when it's on the Malice. On the other sabers it does make quite the difference though, the thing is huge! It's pretty much impossible to use it indoors without hitting something.

I imagined a Berserker entering a small house and just accidentally destroying and knocking everything over with his sword. lol

Enjoy your great sword. Grin

Why is everyone going about retention screws? I have 2 already, and I'm quite paranoic with them so losing one will be hard  Tongue

If it's about me not being able to remove the Malice blades, then you guys are way off. I have absolutely no idea what to use to take out these things, it's definetely not a tool I have here.

My bad, I wasn't reading it right, I thought you meant the actual saber blade not the claw blades.

I think Deep mentioned something about them in the Malice Release thread.

To remove the metal blades from the Malice:
- Unscrew the silver metal section (that the metal blades are secured to) from the main section of the hilt.
- Unscrew the retention screw (same size wrench used in removing a blade retention screw) that fastens the metal blade on silver section of the hilt.
- Slide the metal blade off towards the back end of the silver section of the hilt.    Note:  The metal blade sits in a groove that is cut into the silver section of the hilt.

Interesting, Maybe its like the Guardian Pommel in that its two pieces that it screws together?

Duuuuude, you saved my life! The screws were just being stubborn(and invisible, lol), I just managed to pull them off. Posting pics soon!

Don't know about that. The top part comes off really easy, yet no matter how hard I try the lower one doesn't even budge.

Here we are, Malice without the blades.

Not bad, I must say. Still, I much prefer it with the blades on.
