Yes it lights up, However its not very bright at all.  I originally thought that maybe the resistor was too strong but honestly I dont know.

Oopps, I mispoke. White doesn't need a resistor because it's fwd voltage is 3.3. So you can direct drive it off the board.

See thats what I was thinking because I was told that as long as the LED is rated for 3.3v or more then the board can handle it. Thats what I did with my accent LEDs. they are both rated 3.3v or higher and I have them wired with no resistor and they seem fine. Ok cool so when I re-do the switch box Ill try and change that. Cool  and thanks : )

I have to commend you on this. I will admit I am looking to attempt a build however having no background in eletronics (the army doesnt really see a need for it in our training lol) I find the wiring aspect a little intimidating. I will steal your photo of the sound boardw/ speaker if you do not mind to aid me in the learinig process. So again very well done.
