My friend and I got an Aeon LE in blue and a Dominix LE v3 in red! Really happy with these Very cool!! I'm noticing on the last few grab bags posted that the switch button colors all match the blade color. I wonder if US might be testing out a new option..... (if y'all are, it looks great!) |

After purchasing a LightSaber at Phoenix ComiCon, I went to the "Official Site" .... That is where the problem started. 1st Saber was a " Dark Monarch" BR with sound and silver FoC. 2nd Saber (Grab Bag - Dominix v3, stunt, GB) 2 days later. 3rd Saber (Grab Bag - Aeon v3, stunt, AS) 5 days later 4th Saber (eBay - Prototype Saber, SteamPunk, Non operational) Sorry I do not know how to include pics.  My wife says I am giving in to my Dark Side..... |

And the blade seems to rattle a little bit on contact, but i think that is an easy fix. Tightening the screws should address that - an extra third to a half turn or so. The bottom of the blades can get surprisingly chewed up by retention screws if you swap them around much The v2 is a simple 'sabre, but I love mine. I've just got it back after it went back to US to have a faulty LED replaced, and it's really driven home how sleek the hilt is, and how easy it is to handle. I love my others, but possibly because I've had this the longest I find it the easiest to wield. Congrats on a fine 'sabre! |

Ordered my wife the Initiate v3 with the Ultraedge blade with Hot Pink LED.  I ordered a Grab Bag with Ultraedge blade with Sunrider's Destiny blade. The Aeon LE v3 is what showed up. I like the way the gold bands look better that I expected. The images I have seen make them look kind of yellow, but in hand they look really good.   I am pretty happy with the results. So this morning while pouring my bowl of cereal i got the long anticipated doorbell ring for my Fed ex delivery. After finally coaxing my crazy dog back inside after chasing said mail man i was FINALLY able to open my grab bag. This is my first ultra saber, so i didn't really care what i got. When i finally opened it I saw my new Aeon V2 saber in SRD. I have to admit i was a little disappointed that it was a V2, because that means i cannot change the emitter like i was planning to. Overall I'm very happy with my GB. The saber, however basic it is, is still a beautiful piece, and seems rather durable. It seems a little dimmer than i expected, but i think a new set of AAA's will change that. And the blade seems to rattle a little bit on contact, but i think that is an easy fix.  Weird that almost looks Emerald Green to me |

It's a good looking saber. If you buy any V3 hilts you'll notice how light and easy to grip the V2 Aeons are. I love mine for sparring and spinning, and pretty much everything, like lending to people for duels or when they are going to a costume party. it's easy to wield for pretty much everyone even kids. I recommend getting some high quality rechargeable batteries. I would also suggest eneloop batteries as several photographers I know use them in their equipment for their longevity and reliability. They can be stored for more than 2 years without losing their charge (when they are not in a device as devices will slowly drain batteries regardless) and have excellent power delivery. With alkaline batteries you notice a steady decline in power output, and most rechargeables are similar, but the eneloop batteries I've used act more like Li-Ion batteries. Li-Ion batteries have a more consistent output and drop off quickly at the end of their cycle. Now, with the rattling... I found that my aeon rattled a bit with the battery pack, not so much the blade. If it's not the blade and tightening the blade retention screws doesn't stop the rattle then it may be the battery pack. I notice more of a clinking tapping when this is the case and I suggest wrapping a strip of velcro or something around the battery pack to pad it a bit so it doesn't hit the insides as much. |

It's very well balanced, and the choke point feels really good. I tightened the screws, and that helped a little bit, but i am probably going to wrap the end with some duct tape or something |

I love the aeon v2's...even more than the v3's! I think that these have tremendous possibilities for customization, plus they seem like what a basic lightsaber hilt would be in the Star Wars universe. With the V2 you could always put in a rechargeable battery ...even a recharge port on this thing....you can change out the latching switch for something else...paint it...powder coat it....the list could go on......just because its a v2 doesn't mean it doesn't have potential (evil grin)

Hey guys. Got my second grab bag today. An Aeon v3 LE in VA!! Once again, I am pleased. It's a beautiful hilt. I'm thinking about doing a video comparing the Liberator and Aeon, as I was surprised by the size of the Aeon.  |
