Hey Coumor.

I have VA on a Raven, and personally, I think it looks great on both Dark and Light. If you really want VA, then I recommend it opting for it, because A) its an Ultrasaber, so the hilt will look and feel great, and B) VA is a surprisingly versatile colour. It fits well with a lot of styles. I was also concerned when I ordered About the VA/Dark combo, but I like it. I can put a pic of my Raven up if you want?

But if you think that having VA on a light style saber is more important, then leave it random. You might be pleasantly surprised. and if you don't get VA on a light style, you can always get a saber of your choice with VA at a later time. Plus, leaving it random means you might get something you didn't really expect, but you rather like. For me it was a Liberator - CG. Never thought of it, but I love it!

Also, I'd recommend getting a blade plug and blade retention screw if this is your first order, they're handy, and it means that you don't have to buy some at a later date if you don't want to. You'll already have them.

Yeah, I was kinda leaning towards a random color because of all these unexpected, but awesome, combinations on this forum. And thank you for the information on the retention screw and the blade plug. I can't wait to see what the Force has in store for me. Any other information for this novice is greatly appreciated.

having a few is great for when your friends want to duel and don't own sabers of their own. I've been very happy with all my sabers I own from US so I think you too will be happy with it. Again you could always customize the saber later to better fit you.  not only that but Grab bags make for great first sabers once you have a good idea what it's like owning a saber you can then invest into another saber you really want for me it was my Emerald manticore.

I too was plenty surprised with the liberator though mine is in FO it's a great stunt saber and wasn't originally one I was looking at.
